Moinette Blonde

[Cask at Charlies Bar] A light yellow beer with no head. It has a very faint aroma of sweetness and wheat. The flavor is flat, wheaty, dry, slightly sweet, and slightly bitter. It has a funny feel in the mouth. A weird beer, but OK, though nothing to go out of your way for.

(Bottle 25 cl) Originally just known as "Moinette II". Orangey golden beer with a huge head. Lots of yesty sediment. Strong and potent in both body and alcohol with a dry hoppiness. We’re talking Orval-territory although far from the same complexity. 270695

Golden coloured, hazy, creamy head. Malty, vanillaish, somewhat estery, grainy, bitter. An excellent complex ale!

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a white head. Aroma is light spiced, mild fruity note and little malty accent. Flavour is mild malty and spiced towards wheaty - but also with a very special rubbery note - I guess the yeast commited suicide...Ends spiced and mild malty, continued slight rubbery note.

Bottle: Golden hazy color with a very nice white and relatively short living head. Nose of citrus fruits, yeast and spices. The flavour is of oranges / lemon. Sour, bitter and alcoholic finish.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, not muich head. Aroma is graqss, spices, earth and some floral hints. Flavour is very much the same. A quite boring brew, but does hide the 8.5% alcohol very well.

Draught at ZBF08. Weak bready aroma. Very cloudy yellow colour. Small but nice and stable creamy white head. Mild flavour, some yeast. Medium bitterness, quite rough. 6 3 6 3 13

Bottle, 8.5%. Sweet and yeasty fruit aroma. Hazy golden colour. Big stable creamy white head. The flavour is sweet with a little yeast. Good spicy flavour. Grassy hop flavour, a little grapefruit. Slightly high level of alcohol, but OK balanced by sweetness and hops. 6 3 7 3 16

Bottle. Cloudy golden coloured with a huge and lasting white head. Fruity aroma of spices and yeast. Flavour of fruits, spices, yeast, grass and hops. Dry yesty finish of grass.
