I bought this on the word that it was better than Karmaliet, but its not. Looks like a typical belgian. Hoppy, delicate start with a slight bite. What I noticed most about this guy is how fast the taste dissipates. Disappointing for its high price. It also gets almost rank as it gets warmer. A below par tripel in my opinion.

The bottle was labeled just Moinette so I am not sure if this is the right place to rate. The aroma is yeasty, citrusy, and malty in an adjunct corn kind of way. The appearance is hazy amber gold with a large foamy head. The flavor is soapy with all the elements from the aroma. The palate is typical of a Belgian with a bitter aftertaste. Overall it’s quality but not tasty or easy to drink.

Dark orange colored, big lasting yellow head. Black pieces of yeast in glass, hazy appearance. Strongly yeasty and spicy aroma with fine vinous banana tones. Medium to full bodied. Licorice, fruits, spices, pepper and mild yeast in flavor, aftertaste has medium alcohol and lasting spices. Some lace in glass. Fine and complex tripel.

750mL. Pops with precision. Big carbonation on a glowing, beautiful light golden yellow. Large bright head head. Good lace. Dank floral hop nose, dank weed, grass, big Dupont saison yeast presence, mango sorbet and ice cream sugar from the Abbey Tripel candi sugar component. Really is exactly what I would expect Dupont’s tripel to smell like and it is impressive. As it warms flaked oats and heavy oatmeal maltiness takes over. Taste- up front stinging carbonation with drying, very bitter grassy hops moving to dry maltiness. Not really a sugar presence and no residual sweetness really. Malty through the finish but so sharp and grassy up front. Nice to have a dry and hoppy tripel with no candi sugar or alcohol character. Really beautiful. Pilsner doughy in its presentation but a heavy hitter in the alcohol department. Perhaps the ultimate pre-gaming beer.

Bottle at home. Wow. A great Tripel. Very lemony, citrusy, of course, with cloudy orange colour. Coriander smaak. A popping mouthfeel. Nice bite at the end.

Pours a cloudy blonde color with yeast in suspension and a thick, creamy, lasting white head. Very appealing aroma of spices, fruits, yeast and hops. Excellent flavor of hops, spices, citrus and yeast with a bitter finish. The body is full with a gentle creamy texture and low carbonation. This is an excellent beer, another great achievement from Dupont.

A gold beer with small pieces of sediment. Flavor of sweet malt and fruit, fitting the tripel style nicely. Flavor includes yeast as well. Not as full flavored as their brown, but a very good beer in its own right.

Hazy and golden with notes of orange. Thick, creamy white head. Soft and malty nose of oranges, banana and peaches. Fruity flavour of oranges, apricot and banana. Semi-dry finish of marmelade, grape-peels and tropical fruit.
