750 ml bottle. Pale golden with plenty of big floaters and a diminishing white head. Aroma has caramel and perfume with spices and yeast. Flavor is quite refreshing spicy caramel and moderate bitter. Somehow strange but not really outstanding.

06 bottle. Pour is a hazy gold with with yeast floaters. Nice creamy white head. Aroma of lemon, grain, bread, spice, and fruit. Flavors of lemon zest, banana, bread, spice, and some sweet fruity notes. A bit of alcohol comes through. Another tasty brew from dupont.

(Draught at Akkurat) Poured orange and cloudy. Head was medium sized, long lasting and medium sized. Aroma was fruity and sour with notes of honey. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, sourness, lightly sweetness, citicness, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, lightly sour and bitter.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 bluevegie (2854) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - MAY 26, 2008
Golden body with a decent white head. Soft spice on the nose a well as some yeast and a little bit of melon. Taste shows the spice again, no hot alcohol, but seems to fall away a tad.

Glad I finally got around to drinking this one. Pours a nice slightly hazy golden with a thick creamy white head. The nose is sweet, candi sugar, Belgian earthy undertones, spicy yeast phenols. The flavor is similar, has a very nice sweetness to it without being cloying, nice spicy feel from the yeast, gets warmer in the mouth and throat as the temp rises, yeasty Belgian flavors are very nice. I was quite impressed with this.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - MAR 7, 2005
From the bottle this brew pours an amazing orange with a tall white head that stays forever. Very crisp and dry brew with lots of spiciness pepper, esters, lots of cork aroma and flavor and a slight sourness in the finish. Very crisp dry finish with just a light hopping to balance. Amazingly drinkable for the ABV.

Mega-huge head. It’s got sort of a biere de garde thing going on. Way fizzy. Taste disappoints for reasons I’m utterly unable to explain. Maybe it’s the raw unhidden flavor of alcohol I’m not keen on.

I am not a great fan of this style. It poured with a massive head and a very bitter taste.Very powerful mouthfeel and the bitterness lingered for some time. Overall not very impressive.
