Bottle 330ml. Not the prettiest, but it has a great taste. Aromas of bread, apple, and alcohol. Taste is sweet, with a bit of acidity, and long length. Palate is creamy and tingly, with a medium-to-full body. Dark yellow, with a thin head.

Moinette Blonde is a belgian triple, blonde beer. For those familiar with the brewery Dupont, it’s the classic beer of theirs. Almost everything in this beer is perfect. The head is dense and white, the nose is complex with hints of hops, malts and yeast. The taste is great, lasts long, and offers a very apreciable bitterness, well balanced by the presencde of malts. Overall a very good beer.

Hazy blonde ale with a abundant collar. Aromas of hop, fruits, candy, spice, and skunk (probably due to light exposure). Surprising hop taste in front. 1 year old bottle.

Currently drinking while typing. This brew has a nice aroma once poured, good malts, yeast, sweet cheese, lemon and sour cream. It’s an absolutely incredible beer to look at as memories of it sparkling in the summer sun are what I think of when I have one of these! Beautiful soft foamy head which grows intensely upon the golden yellow coppered coloured brew. The taste of the Moinette gets me everytime, it is a perfect example of that classic Dupont taste which defines their brews to anything else! Full of cereal like malts, Belgian yeasts, light toasted Danish breads, grains and an aftertaste of gentle floral hoppiness. Great umami feel overall with an extremely gentle bitter back-note. Full in the mouth with a lively carbonation that works well without breaking out, lovely top lip foam tickles and subtle dry finish. A very memorable beer for me, maybe why I love it so much but honestly the flavour is incredible! A must have beer!

The first thing you’ll notice is the nose. Like it’s saison counterpart it is heavy on banana. However after it sits in the glass for a bit, the banana gives way to a brighter herbal scent. Think Thyme, basil, not sage oregano.
It also is crisper than the Saison. Other’s have said it is sweet but again, compared to other Dupont varieties, I think it is much crisper and has a bite at the end.
For pairing, the main thing I would say is stay away from acids, seriously. Even a light vinegar will likely conflict with that after bite. It will be great with greens and the strong banana will pick up citrus but only use the zest. It’s rich but still has a blond lightness. Cream should be good but not butter. Fish will work and you could even do grilled red meat for something almost tropical. Again, just stay away from the acids. Be careful with onions (sweet and not raw) but chilies could pair nicely.
I’d be curios to see how it tastes with mushrooms although I’m not recommending.
You can go a lot of different directions for cheese. I’d be careful with goat, but if it were the right type, I think this would be wonderful. Again, the banana nose, and the very bright carbonation would be wonderful with a fresh cheese but the "liquor" bite at the end, will conflict with goat cheese sour flavor if you are not careful. Stinky cheeses? Go for it. (although others might disagree) The only thing I would definitely shy away from are deep nutty cheeses. Many sheep cheese or gruyere might work but more than likely, you won’t do the beer of the cheese a favor.

This brew is insanely aromatic and intensely delicious! Brews of this style are great right when they are bottled and shipped but get a few and age them out a few years and you’ll be deliciously amazed! Like a fine wine, these get better with age! A brew of this nature is one that I would recommend sipping slowly and all by itself. Pairing it up with foods would only serve to detract from it’s intense flavors: sweet, sour, spicy, fruity. Words cannot adequately describe a brew of this quality. So I suggest you go get some and try for yourself! Prost!
