4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
750, corked and baled. This is evidently an older bottle. Not sure how much older, but it has the tan label with green text, and just calls itself "Moinette Belgian Ale." And it’s awesome.
Pours cloudy medium amber with bright gold highlights and a towering fluffy platinum blonde head. Big bold funks horse blanket and old wet grass nose. Almost overpowering at first, but not after a minute, and never unpleasant at all. Doesn’t show much lace but the film that sticks around is thick and egg-white-y.
Lovely creamy medium body with plenty of churning carbonation. Caramel, funky horseblanket, old wet grass, and a bit of herbal hop on the mid-palate. This is sooooo much more farmhouse than abbey, but who cares what they call it? It’s fantastic. I’ll snag any of these bottles I can get my hands on. Not sure how the stuff with the yellow label (pictured) is drinking.

330ml bottle poured in a Leffe chalice.
A: Pours a bit cloudy yellow golden color. A mediun white creamy fizzy head is formed. Small retention but never disappears totally, leaving a small layer and very few lacings
S: Sweet and fruity on the nose. Honey, candy sugar, orange, orange zest, caramel malts. Belgian yeasts and flowery hops. Alcohol
T: Follows the nose. A sweet upfront and a dry and hoppy aftertaste. Honey, candy sugar, orange zest, caramel malts, citrus hops. In overall, a dry, citrus and bitter taste
M: Medium body and carbonation. Sweet upfront and intense hoppy bitter end. Warm sensation
O: Excellent Triple specimens. Mandatory for Belgian beer lovers

Hazy golden color, beautiful long-lasting tall white head, fruity aromas (apple, citrus, banana) with floral and yeasty hints, average carbonation, nice sweetness mixed with light bitterness, dry finish, complex and well balanced. Another jewel from Dupont.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml Bottle from Beers of Europe.co.uk - £2.59
Another highly enjoyable Belgian beer, this one was reminiscent of a saison early on and not being the biggest fan of the style I was initially worried but the funk, tart and Belgian yeast died down some and the fruit flavours and spice slowly took over. The beer was a well balanced some and despite the alcohol content it still managed to go down easily, While it’s not a beer that I’d go back to time and again, I would definitely consider trying again at some point in the future.

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines, cheers Ash! Pours clear gold, massive white head, a lot of floaters! High carbonation. Aromas are spice, oranges, bready yeast. Taste is more of the same, slightly boozy. Warming finish. Good.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from de Bierschuur in Poppel. The beer has a yellow/golden color and nice large white head with a lot of bubbles. The aroma is very fruity, tones of citrus (lemon like) and very spicy, like coriander. The taste is full bodied, very fruity and complex, with sweet, chewy, caramelized pale malt. Finishes with minimal hop bitterness and a slightly viscous quality. Warming, rich, and exceptionally enjoyable.
