Bottle. Pours a thick yellow orange color with a frothy white head. Fruity and malty aroma. Flavor has strong malt and yeast presence, somewhat spicy, evenly balaced between sweet and bitter. Palate with thick and creamy with good carbonation. Very good.

Aug 20, 2008 Hmm, maybe I had a bad bottle. Hazy golden colour, big white head. Aroma of sour fruits, green apples, yeast. Flavour is sour apple juice with lots of carbonation. Didn’t like it.

Aug 12, 2008 A rather quintessential abbey tripel. A cloudy orange/brass color with a foamy white head that has rather good persistence. Nice lacing. Nose of yeast, apples, grapes, and perhaps strawberries. Taste of fruit and subtle spices. Sweet and slightly creamy. Sweet and creamy also describes the finish.

Aug 9, 2008 1st foray into belgian farmhouse ales. impressed i must admit. Frothy and effervescent compared to my usual preferences, but i rather enjoyed the change. Some bright citrus flavours and an acid bite that may have more to do with the CO2. Very attractive beer in an authentic glass. Some spice there too...imagine it would go well with Indian food..perhaps.

Aug 8, 2008 Hazy bright golden color, thick white head around the edge. Sweet nose and taste of lemon, orange peel, spice, and fresh green fruit. Has a musty feel. Everything blends together well.

Aug 8, 2008 750 ml. bottle shared with Quevillon. The color is a hazy blond with a thick white head. The taste is a grainy malt. with citrus fruits. It is the real taste of a Belgium style beer.
