The cork comes off with a loud POP! It reads 2007. Pours a fully clouded orange with a nice off white head. Looks just beautiful. Nose is a consistent yeasty funk. Flavor is very nice. Very nice indeed. Nice full funk with a mild sugar tone that is not very visible. Mostly it is the yeast just dancing in your mouth. Very robust. Very hearty. Feel has a high carbonation that is almost a bit attacking on the tongue. Definitely worth trying.

Excalibur123 (188) - Soria, SPAIN - NOV 20, 2014

330mL bottle BB 11/2016 Looks the goods - slightly hazy straw body with good sized tightly pack head sitting above. Nose has a good kick to it; typical Belgian yeast character to it; clove, white pepper, ripe banana & pear esters, some white sugar & cereal malt undertones. Full bodied, creamy texture, carries plenty of weight - you know there’s plenty of booze there, without it being too warm. Lifted carbonation. Palate starts sweet - lots of white sugar, pale malt/golden syrup sweetness, combines with candied bananas, pear drops, dried apricot, and finally leading onto phenolic pepper & clove spices, a hint of floral hop and moderate-to-high bitterness on a dry finish. Rather tasty Belgian blond.

Aroma of malt, yeast, ripe fruits, spicy yeast, light hops. Flavour is moderate sweet with a moderate bittersweet finish. Body is excellent, great balance. Great example of Belgian style ale.

Bottle at Trollekeldar. Opaque blond with a big white head. Dust, yeasty bitter aroma, some bubblegum. Tastes yeasty and bitter, a little plastic undertones. Full body, carbonated, mildly bitter finish.

EtTuCthulhu (1127) - Columbia, Missouri, USA - NOV 6, 2014
The color of this beer is an opaque golden with a large white head and lots of large sediment floating near the bottom of the glass. The aroma blends Belgian yeast, flowers, wheat, and light malts, and the taste is mildly sour, slightly sweet, and a touch umami. The aftertaste has a lot of Belgian yeast flavors--especially some light clove--lasting on the tongue, and the palate has a lively carbonation, which obstructs the medium-light body and slick texture.

UPDATED: NOV 2, 2014 Very good. As can be expected from Dupont. Opaque yellow with a creamy white head and just enough carbonation. Flavor is nicely bitter and a bit sweet. The 8,5% comes through but does not make it boozy. There is some floral, yeast and citrus and a hint of marzipan. Nicely bitter in the aftertaste. Could drink this all night!

Orange hazy body. Aroma of malt and yeast and some alcohol. Triple like blond beer. The taste is medium sweet and bitter, with a bitter and warming finish.

Hazy golden color, beautiful long-lasting tall white head, fruity aromas (apple, citrus, banana) with floral and yeasty hints, average carbonation, nice sweetness mixed with light bitterness, dry finish, complex and well balanced. Another jewel from Dupont.

330ml Bottle from Beers of Europe.co.uk - £2.59
Another highly enjoyable Belgian beer, this one was reminiscent of a saison early on and not being the biggest fan of the style I was initially worried but the funk, tart and Belgian yeast died down some and the fruit flavours and spice slowly took over. The beer was a well balanced some and despite the alcohol content it still managed to go down easily, While it’s not a beer that I’d go back to time and again, I would definitely consider trying again at some point in the future.
