17thfloor (807), Chicago, Illinois, USA Nov 28, 2008 Pours an unclear golden orange with a delightful thick rich creamy froth. Sweet fruity Belgian aroma, some what maybe? a bit tart and lemony. First taste is sweet candi malt and lots of yeast, a bit of alcohol is present, bitter orange peel, but overall nice, dry and refreshing. Thick creamy mouthful that is airy at the same time, smooth carbonation, lightly chalky. BillKismet (1476), Seattle, Washington, USA Nov 27, 2008 Straw-gold with thick, creamed foam head and lots of suspended particles. Funky yeast and German hops make an impression on the nostrils. Smooth beery, Belgian character with slight skunkiness and German hops detectable on the palate. Would make for a better crusty, beer & cheese soup rather than as a stand alone beer. Crit (2258), New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada Nov 1, 2008 Not really a bad offering, but the skunky nose turned me off.
Opaque lighjt orange, large lasting white head.Skunky yeasty nose.
Effervescant spicy yeasty palate, good malt sweetness and a long bitter hop finish.
