Commercial Description:
Famous for their Saison Ale, Brasserie Dupont is also renowned in Belgium for their Moinette. This sturdy ale has an herbal bouquet that indicates its well hopped character. But unlike its drier cousin, its body is fuller and rounder with a slightly sweet finish. Delicious before a meal and with foods like marinated meats and barbecue.

Tawny amber brown, translucent. The initially large off-white head recedes rapidly leaving no lace. Aroma is yeasty and figgy. Sweet caramel, fruity yeast (berry, cherry), medium bitterness, quite dry.

Pours a lovely cloudy brown with a light beige head with decent retention. Sweet caramel and ripe plum aroma. Tastes wonderful! Light sweet breadiness, caramel & a sturdy & well-blended spiciness; detectable are cloves & light banana. This would indeed work very well with barbecue. Nice, coating body with excellent carbonation. Very, very sessionable. Very very tasty!

Little caramel, some fruit and spice in there. Will have to try again as it was to wash down a particularly hardcore curry. Not my favourite brune but I really should try this again.

Slightly murky reddy brown body with a short off-white head. Malty aroma, a little grainy and a little caramel. Taste is of light roast bitterness along with a little pepper, touch thin in body, easily drinkable though not that memorable.

Botella. Hazy deep red-brown colour. Deep malty aroma with a mild bitterness and some frutiness. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a good deep maltiness with toasted caramel, a good hoppy bitterness and some dark fruits. Tasty brrew indeed. Hvala Jesper!
