Famous for their Saison Ale, Brasserie Dupont is also renowned in Belgium for their Moinette. This sturdy ale has an herbal bouquet that indicates its well hopped character. But unlike its drier cousin, its body is fuller and rounder with a slightly sweet finish. Delicious before a meal and with foods like marinated meats and barbecue.

Had Vielle Provision and thought it was great, so I picked this up. Its delicious. It has a fair bit of hoppiness for a dubbel style, but I think it balances quite nicely. There is also a bit of fruitiness which is very nice. I would prefer if the color was a little darker. Also, the mouthfeel is a little thin for me.

0.33 bottle.
A dark brown color with a crimson tinge and a huge, tanned head. Aroma of dark malts, dark fruits, some spices and sugar - not bad. A sweet, delicate taste - less fruity and more malty than the aroma. A light to medium body, a thin texture, and an average carbonation. Finish is short and somewhat watery. Not a bad beer, not a good one either - somewhat insipid.

Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, Belgian yeast, dried fruits, bread and nuts.

Turbid/opaque ruby/brown beer with medium yeast and with a slight/medium beige head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, Belgian yeast and dried fruits; ends slightly bitter with bread and nuts.

This beer is balanced with certain depth and a lot of character. The intensity of the aroma is miles behind the flavour however.

butelka, warka do 10/2017. Ladne, lekko opalizujace, wpadajace w wisniowy kolor, z nieco szampanska piana.

Dark amber color with beige head. Aroma has dark malts, brown sugar and molasses. Taste starts yeasty with dark malts, just a hint of sugar sweetness and some dried fruits. Finishes quite bitter and earthy. Medium body and carbonation, well hidden ABV. Overall it’s a nice belgian dark ale. Although I am not a fan of this style, I enjoyed this one.

There are some beers that speak for themselves - This is one of them. This is lik a wine ale that takes you into the spring witha swig. It speaks whispers to you of flowers and craft, lulls you into the brushes to experience the sweetness of its path. A hell of a beer that you cannot seriously consider to not have drank as a beer taster.

Ottimo lavoro!
