COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Famous for their Saison Ale, Brasserie Dupont is also renowned in Belgium for their Moinette. This sturdy ale has an herbal bouquet that indicates its well hopped character. But unlike its drier cousin, its body is fuller and rounder with a slightly sweet finish. Delicious before a meal and with foods like marinated meats and barbecue.

Bottle. Sweet fruity aroma. Cloudy dark brown body, large light brown head. Flavor is sweet and fruity, but less complex than the best dubbels. A dash of bitterness in the finish. Pleasant, not outstanding.

Aroma of caramel, malt, spices, herbs. At the beginning the taste is sweet like a caramel but after a while it turns into bouquet of spices, malt and bitter hops. Great beer

Shared 330 ml bottle at local tasting. Brown colour, off-white head. Moderate aroma, hints of brown kandij sugar and herbs. The flavour is more defined, brown kandij sugar without being too sweet, herbs and hops. Nice enough.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2015 Shared bottle at RB/HD on board Fridtjofen 14.04.15. Deep orange. Small, beige head. Aroma of sweet, semi-dark malt and ripe fruit. Similar taste. Hints of herbs. Good drinkability.

Shared bottle at RBHD tasting. Pours hazy deep golden with a big creamy white head. Aroma is shy malty, bread with some yeast. Taste is moderate sweet bready and toffeeish malts, with a good dry spicy and herbal finish. High carbonated, pleasant beer.

Pours a dark brown body with a medium head. Nice and fresh malty aroma. Nice taste but full of metal tones ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Perhaps the best Abbey Dubbel I have ever tried. Very nice aroma with hops, caramel and chocolate. Very well balanced and soft combination of aroma’s.

330 ml bottle. Strong alcohol smell, but soft in the others. I can sense caramel and some coffee. Dark amber color with a creamy little white head that quickly fades, even if you move the glass appears again. Dense complex taste, not has alcoholic has expected from smell. Taste of grains and just a little tiny bit of cherry. Very bitter taste, not balanced at all, not a pleasent feeling. Good beer, you can tell that is well made, but i’m just not crazy about it.
