My Bottom Line:
Beechwood smoke and mild hoppiness define this simple but pleasant Rauchbier.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the cloudy pale brown.
-There are no ale qualities in this one ; Im happily surprised.
-Malt flavors are well polished.
-This is not an over-the-top Rauchbier la Schlenkerla. Its more of a quencher like Spezial, Hnig or Fischer, to give you an idea.

Bottle.

Bottled. Nice smoky nose, katusbushi, chocolate. Cloudy brown with lace. Nose is a bit faint but nice. Nice smoky, lager-like flavor. Simple but tasty with chocolate and smoke. Very drinkable, Bambergian. Good level of intensity.

Very original beer with a light hazy appearance and with a airy ivory colored head. The color of the beer is brown with a reddish shine. It has a malty-vanilla smell untherbuild with smooked peat aromas and some medicinal hints. A little like the aroma of laphroaig malt whisky. It has a medium boddied taste with the roundnerss of pearsirup and some light roasted malts in it. In the afthertaste you can notice some hints of beefstock and roasted oakwood. Thanks Herv for this rare beer.
