Golden coloured with pear flavour. SLightly bitter finish. The_Beer_God (2806), Newport News, Virginia, USA Oct 2, 2004 Cask at the Crosse Key in London. Golden amber body.Minimal white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with mild graininess. Taste is more fruits and a mild hop flavor. Some faint sweetness in the background as well. Mouthfeel is moderate and somewhat smooth. Finish is hops with a pulpy fruit taste. Odd beer. chris_o (4393), London, Greater London, England Jul 27, 2004 What a difference a year makes. This time last year Duff was bemoaning the quality of this beer. This year we were sitting in Wetherspoons waiting fro the evening session of the beer festival to open and this came over as a crisp, clean, fresh summer ale with bags of juicy hops. Pale colour. No great complexity, but I don’t expect that in a quaffer. Of course, the beer was served too cold, so the aroma was severely muted. Cask (handpump), The Ivory Peg (JDW), Chelmsford.
