Grumbo (493) - Suffolk, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2013
Cask gravity at CAMRA Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Dark ruby brown colour. Light bodied. Toasted toffee aroma. Has a smooth bitterness to it. One of the nicest mild’s I tried at the festival.

Pint at the Nags Head in Reading. Very dark brown with red highlights, short-lived head. Spiced, watery, licorice, sweet. Smells of sweets. A bit over done, and it doesn’t taste like a mild. Disappointing.

laiti (4941) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 29, 2013
Cask @ HBF ’11 as ”Moles Double Mild Ale”. Rated on 08.04.2011
Aroma has toffee, some nuts, hay and hints of caramel. Flavour is quite nutty with bready malt, some toffee and caramel. Quite rich for a real ale at this ABV.

lusikka (5324) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 29, 2012
Cask @ O’Connell’s, Tampere.
Pours a dark brown colour with a white creamy head. Aroma of toasted malts, rye bread and nuts. Flavour of toasted malts, sour berries, bread, chocolate and mild bitterness. Light bodied, slick mouthfeel and a chewy, citrusy and acidic finish. Probably not in the most best condition anymore.

Leighton (9830) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2011
Cask at The Harp, London. Pours red+brown with a small, white head. Nice aroma, some fruit, toast and herbs. Medium sweet flavor, toast, dark fruits, light caramel. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Faintly dry finish, lightly roasty but more toasty, some dark fruits. Very solid mild.

Cask conditioned handpump Harp London. A dark ruby coloured beer with an off-white head and lacing. A sweet mild with caramel notes. The aroma is drier and smoky. It’s a mild mild but quite nice.

RexTalionis (2115) - FINLAND - MAY 3, 2011
At Helsinki Beer Festival 2011. Poured dark brown in colour, very thin head. Faint liquorice in aroma with some yeasty notes. Very bready taste. Malty flavour. Tasted a bit like finnish kotikalja.

Gravicask (Helsinki Beer Festival, 2011)
6 Slight toffee aroma, some apple - oh dear, is this going to be as tired as the Royal Matromoley I just had?
4 Deep brown, no head.
7 Appley taste too. Tired. But definitely with a really good full roast.
4 Soft palate, carbonation low. Finish just so lovely and roasty. Great.
13 Such a full body, but definitely a bit tired. Very good - would like to have fresh. Again, easy to blame HBF for putting the real ales in the warmest part of the venue, and not being quite so fastidious as they used to be.
