Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Dark amber with a small off white head. Sweet earthy malt aroma. Fruity leathery taste with sweetness and a hint of cereal. Some bitterness. I thought this was really rather good.

Cask. Copper coloured with a small off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, wood, mild bitterness as well as some slight toasted notes. Flavour is caramel malts, mild dark fruits, some nuttyness as well as wooden and resiny notes. Also some slight berryish notes in the finish.

(Cask at Angleterre, Helsinki, 20110325) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was lightly brown and small. Aroma had malts and yeast. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, toffee, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty. A not so good bitter with too yeasty aroma.

Cask at Market Porter. Dark brown body with thin head. Malty and sweet nose with bitter notes. Crisp and malty flavour. Quite bitter.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Criterion, Leicester. A ruby coloured beer with an off-white coloured head. Some initial vinegar in the nose is followed by some berry notes. It’s similar in the mouth. Nice fruit but that bit of tainted acidity lets it down.
