Cask (St Urho’s, Helsinki)
Lovely honeyish aroma, so classically English. Taste lests me down - it’s a bit dull. There’s a touch of apricot and wininess about the retronasals, perhaps too fruity for my tastebuds in this context at this time. Soft palate, carbonation low. Apple comes through too later. Simple but tasty. Finish quite perfumey, honey too.

downender (5913) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 22, 2012
Cask-conditioned at the Commercial rooms (JDW), Bristol 22/05/2012. Deep gold with next to no head. Sweet aroma of caramel, orange and grassy hops. Flavour was less malty than most Moles beers, with a biscuity edge, more fruit and a moderately bitter finish. Good stuff.
