1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20 mabel (4129) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 13, 2011
[4001-20110930] 341mL bottle. Formaldehyde-y sweet pear and thick cake batter aroma, like the little pieces of candied fruit that you find in Christmas cakes. Clear, pale yellow body with a quick foamy white head. Light sweet candied straw flavour. Light body. Absolutely terrible. (2/2/2/2/2) 1.0
Overheard: "Like liquefied corn flakes."

1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 blankboy (4285) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 11, 2011
Bottle (341ml) shared with HogTownHarry, garthicus, GregClow, jerc & mabel -- c/o j&m. Pours a clear pale gold with a spare diminishing frothy white head. Aroma is sugary sweet, vegetal, grainy and has plenty of corn. Flavour is watery and just awful, it’s just corn and grain along with cardboard. Light to average bodied. Fucking bad stuff.

2011-09-30. Pale yellow body, with a small white head. Cardboardy malt aroma, vegetal touches, muted straw. Flavour is similar, dilute rough grains and cardboard. average to light bodied palate. Poor. Bottle from random Quebec gas station
0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 garthicus (2006) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 30, 2011
Thanks to Jerc and Mabel. Appearance: Almost totally clear, a little yellow, tiny head. Aroma: Wow. Just a big glass of corn, bread dough - not in a good way. Flavour: Just like cake batter and corn flakes that had been puked up and put in a glass.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 kwoeltje (1762) - Manchester, Missouri, USA - AUG 2, 2008
(bottle) pale gold with small white head. Very little aroma. Flavor is thin malt, no real hops. Average for a "near beer"

Bouteille 341ml.

It has some beer qualities for sure. But so do all of the Steelbacks I have tried. Scant malts with paper and muted hops from the bowels of the Steelback fermenting tanks. Throw some tonic water into a can of water, and add newspaper and you’d be getting the right idea.
