Fitting first rating. 5% Bottle from my brother’s fridge, half and half in a shaker. This is a Canadian classic. Light colour, minimal lace. Deeper gold than most American lagers. Aroma is sweet grain and a hint of malt. In the mouth this is as you’d expect, typical lager body, this goes down easy. Taste is more grain, wet cardboard, rubber bands. Sweetness on the finish I’m not too fond of. You can definitely do worse.

Aluminum bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks DSG. Pale gold with a small white head. Sweetish and sugary aroma with a sweetish, a little grainy, sticky taste. Light body, too long finish.

On tap in the lounge at Montreal airport. Looks like lager. Quite remarkably lacking in any character. At least it wasn’t unpleasant, kind of yellow cold water really.

Very skunky. Maybe I got a bad 6pack but this beer was not enjoyable at all.

It has a light golden yellow or straw color with wonderful clarity. The head is big and fizzy with a white color. The aroma is light and grainy. Corn adjunct cereal grains with some light grassy hops. Its favor is just as you would expect from the aroma. It starts off with a mildly sweet grainy taste that is very crisp. The hops add a light grassy flavor and a mild bitterness that leads into the finish that is quick and clean. There is plenty of carbonation that gives it a lively palate and a light to medium body.

355 ml can. Pours a pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma is malt, corn and hops. Slightly sweet flavour with malt, corn and a mildly dry, bitter hop finish. Light body with watery texture and soft carbonation.
