0.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 collieman (191) - montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 24, 2005
yuck. I normaly drink a nice heavy bitter ale, posibly a tasty stout, and will only take a lager if it’s of exemplary quality, but in my domestic nabour hood, there is only one place to get a beer. It’s you’re average shit hole with VLT’s and domestic beer. The only redeeming value is labat 50 {see review} but there I see people drining Molson Dry like it’s oxygne, so I decided to try it at long last. Waste of the $3.25. But I digress. Pours {from the bottle} clear pale yellow, whispy white head. large soda bubbles. Aroma is of corn starch, golden syrop {probly a sign of pre-activate yeast} boose. Overcarbonated, almost sandy palate. Taste is of cardboard, rough sharpness tiny malt sweetness, reminisent of corn. No hops to speak of, and, yes, the aftertaste is awfuly dry. That’s not a good thing, but it is what they advertise. I dont understand why people drink beer when all the want is to get drunk. It’s not even a plesant drunk they get from all the garbege beer. If you think this one is quality beer, worth chosing, try some cocktails. Beer is wasted on you. if you wana get drunk but dont like the taste of real beer, there is lots of other cheap drunks avalible. Cheers
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 BuckNaked (1222) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - MAY 19, 2005
Bottle provided by and shared with clarkvv: Pale straw yellow with a small fizzy white head. Aroma is corn starch, corn syrup, light vanilla. Light bodied, over-carbonated, and watery. Taste is xerox paper, light stale cardboard, with hints of malt showing through at times.
2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Beerguys (50) - Calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 16, 2005
Poured with a small head that disappeared quickly. Yellow in color. Lots of carbonation. Hard to distinguish between other Molson/Coors products. Very generic tasting. Better than water on a hot day or if you want to drink a lot to get pissed
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 crizay (1050) - Brook Park, Ohio, USA - MAY 10, 2005
What else can I say, it was a Molson product and the can said no aftertaste, I guess the aftertaste wasn’t that bad but it was still there and was still bad.
0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 ClarkVV (3578) - Allston, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 4, 2005
You can really taste the libera use of Pacific Northwest hops in this. . .wow, is that a fucking joke or what. Extremely fizzy, no head, clear yellow color. Smells of corn, stale popcorn. Tastes of paper, fully attenuated, so at least it’s not sickly sweet. Somewhat stale veggies. Highly overcarbonated.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 MrRomero (1959) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 8, 2005
First beer in Montreal. Woo Hoo! Bottle. Poured yellow with a thin white head. Light aroma of apples. Taste is lightly fruity with a crisp dry finish. Refreshing. Semi harsh carbonation.
2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 pootzboy (1284) - Hawgville, Ontario, CANADA - APR 7, 2005
UPDATED: MAY 8, 2005 I almost forgot I had one of these on my trip to Montreal...it really was a forgettable brew. Looked pale and fizzy, moderate head that didn’t stay long...sweet aroma, some fruit and light hops..like a weak rice cider...taste and mouth were soft and mild...hardly any malt or hop profile...just smooth and sweet....uneventful abrupt finish....not very "dry"...not really much of anything...so smooth and soft no real flavor profile was apparent.
