Commercial Description:
Molson Brewmasters have created a new standard in smoothness with Molson Golden. Each batch is brewed with pure spring water and features a unique two part hopping procedure. Galena hop essences are added in the brewing kettle, followed by the addition of a patented, mild hop after fermentation.

Pours clear pale yellow with a two finger white head. Aroma is skunky hops. Flavor is grainy, lightly sweet, with a bit of hop bitterness.

Clear golden color with a medium white head. The flavor was kind of sweet but not a lot of hops. Very smooth beer that i could drink again.

I can’t tell the difference between this and regular Molson. I wonder what is the point?

2009 Bottle - Pours golden with a small whte head...aroma is corny and grassy, slight metal, thicker than expected but still nicely dry...flavour is ho hum, malt water with some slight bitters on the end, bit of fruity skunkiness that somehow deviated from normal lager skunk...oh well...

One of the poorer swills made in Canada, nowhere near as good as Canadian, even. This has always tasted a bit "green" to me, and I wonder why I ever bothered going beyond drinking the first one. Rather unpleasant.

I always thought this was decent, but would go for Moosehead even when I knew nothing bout brew. Now I avoid them both.

Sampled from a 12 oz green bottle this beer poured a dark golden color with a large white head. The aroma was sour, tangy and moderately skunky. The flavor was dryish and tangy with notes of corn and sugar and only the faintest hint of hops. The finish was medium length tangy and vaguely skunky. Thin and overcarbonated. Not a whole lot going on. Sad.

Overall Impression: A relatively boring pale ale, in other words, something we have way too many of...
