COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Molson Brewmasters have created a new standard in smoothness with Molson Golden. Each batch is brewed with pure spring water and features a unique two part hopping procedure. Galena hop essences are added in the brewing kettle, followed by the addition of a patented, mild hop after fermentation.

Poured from a bottle...this is light golden in color and well carbonated.... This is a Molson Golden and predictable...nothing special...nothing terrible.

Light golden with a large white head. Aroma is mild wheat, corn, malts and citrus. Flavor is also light malts, corn and hops. Very thin body but it after all a pale lager. Overall is pretty decent on a summer day.

Bottle. Golden pour with thick, foamy, white head. Aroma is stale and barley-heavy. Lightly carbonated and watery. Quite grainy. About as exciting as a Bud. Would be good to take fishing or golfing, but not a very serious beer. Pretty typical pale North American lager.

Ive had this beer many times on hot summer days and it all ways goes down pretty good. Its got a light aroma of barley and wheat with a watered down bitter finsh but still a bit smooth. A good pale lagar.

This is almost as bad as a macro beer. Well I guess it should be since they partnered with Coors. Typical cheap pale lager.

I tried this beer during the early 80s when they launched a large Canadian campaign to get beer drinkers drinking Golden again. The campaign did nothing more than make fun of the beer’s name (Moslen Godlen, Molden Golson, etc). This was also the brand featured on all The Molson’s commercials.

Sadly, this beer is no longer part of Molson Canada’s lineup (as per their website).

Anyway, the last time I tried this, the beer was golden in colour with almost no head. The aroma was weak with a grassy tinge to it. It was very crisp and clear on the tongue with weak carbonation. The taste was also weak, not watery, but not very beer-y either. It has since gone on to be associated with ’Old Man’s beer’ along with Labatt 50. I would give a better rating, but the beer was just not that memorable. Not bad, but not worth a second taste.

Drank this years ago when people thought all imports were good. This may be slightly more flavorful than say Bud but, not by much.

like it and have had more than a few. always found it a bit salty -which enhances flavor- wish i could say it was really flavorful. sentimental rating.
