Commercial Description:
Molson Brewmasters have created a new standard in smoothness with Molson Golden. Each batch is brewed with pure spring water and features a unique two part hopping procedure. Galena hop essences are added in the brewing kettle, followed by the addition of a patented, mild hop after fermentation.

Green bottle. Golden yellow in color, white head. Pretty sweet, even some bitterness thrown in there. Lighter bodied. You could do worse.

Pours a one-finger white head that fades fairly quickly leaving some lace. Clear amber color. Light-medium carbonation and light bodied. Strong skunky nose. Starts smooth and sweet - I was expecting skunk juice - but no real strong flavors, no hops to speak of. Good lawnmower beer. $1.65 for a 12oz bottle from Colonial Spirits Acton, Ma.

green bottle...clear straw colored pour with minimal white head. Faint malt aroma, faint skunkiness. Sweetish malt start with hardly any hop noticable throughout. Surprisingly not skunky, as this seems to be more the norm than not. Besides the sweet corn syrup flavors, there is nothing else discernable.

Clear golden color, thick fluffy head. Malty, lagery aroma. Sweet malt and corn flavor, thin on the palate ... dry, acidic aftertaste. Not much here, frankly, but I’ve definitely had worse in the pale lager category.

Pale yellow in color. Bland tasting. Clear in color. Hoppy. No malt character. No head. Thin palate. Ok.

Probably doesn’t matter much what type of score I give this bland, lifeless fizzy yellow beer, but at least it has slight character and flavor. I wish these pissy macros that you get on draught would have some head retention for a change. At least it washed down the pizza OK.

Clear light yellow color with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt and lightly skunked. Malty flavor and thin bodied. Has a light hop finish.
