COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Molson Brewmasters have created a new standard in smoothness with Molson Golden. Each batch is brewed with pure spring water and features a unique two part hopping procedure. Galena hop essences are added in the brewing kettle, followed by the addition of a patented, mild hop after fermentation.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2006 12 oz. bottle. I remember this stuff being like gold when I was in college back in the 70’s. Pours a clear light gold with a decent white head. Light aroma of sweet malt and some hops. Taste is slightly sweet as well with some hops bitterness in the finish. Fairly well balanced actually. Of all of the Canadian lagers I’ve had, I like Molson Golden the best.

I still prefer regular Molson Canadian to this. Typical Canadian Lager. It was free, so that was good. Tastes more "mass-produced" than the typical Molson, more of that synthetic taste.

Ok for what it is. Sweet at the start, and its downhill from there. Good for a major beer company beer, I guess...

Bottled, pasteurised. Pale yellow, highly carbonated white head. A local cheap booze outlet asked me to give this a try, high carbonation with a plastic, cardboard background. Grainy, cheap tasting background with little hop character. It was awful, but the shop thinks it is just right for their customers. Takes all sorts.

Pours very light yellow with a fizzy, fully receding white head. Aroma of very sweet malts and stinky lager yeast. Blech. Taste is inoffensive but tasteless. Vapid wet cardboard mixed with stale bread soaked in water. Mouthfeel is fizzy if consumed from the bottle and moderately fizzy if poured into a glass. Thin-bodied, overly sweet, underhopped, and totally unappealing.

Sweet at first. Moves through dry and finishes crisp. A bit of noble hops. Buttery texture? This is an OK beer for the style. A good cheap heavy drinking beer. Much better than the other far too sweet, corn syrup tasting, Molson beers like the Ice, Canadian or XXX.

Bottle. Candian Bud, with some hops added instead of wood chips. BUY AGAIN? Probably. Less embarrassing than Bud at a barbeque.

Initial aroma is a little skunky but once you get into it its a pretty decent beer especially considering its Canadain. Defiently the best Molson I’ve tried.
