| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Feb 27, 2004 Sparkling clear, straw-colored lager. Large, frothy, white head.
The nose is a hint floral with more than a small note of clover honey. Devoid of flavor. Light-bodied with a creamy/fizzy mouthfeel. Short, crisp, clean finish. wilkie (1189), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Feb 24, 2004 Golden color, thin, weak, white head. Aroma is pilsner like. I can smell some hops and some malty flavors, but they are mild and there is a slight rubbery aroma. Flavor is very bland. A little sweet (for the style) and flat. Not a beer I would recommend except over Budweiser. heemer77 (4303), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Feb 2, 2004 Great on a very hot day on the golf course. Little in the way of hops. Has a little malt. Goes down smooth, but also thin. hershiser2 (905), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 2, 2004 This isn't a beer to drink for the taste. Never could I imagine thinking, "Hot damn, boy I could go for a Molson Golden." Nope, not gonna happen. However, I show up to your house, and you hand me a Molson, I'll say, "Thanks," and not ridicule you for having this, and only this in that fridge filled with leftovers and cups of fat that you have been saving in case you need it.
Anyway. Kinda boring and/or average for the most part. Average, that is, for a "beer," since so many people think beer looks the same going in as it does coming out. But it does not impress me, no no. Can't get me to say it looks good when it looks like any other mainstream brew.
Smell... BEER.
Taste: BEER AGAIN, nothing new here. This taste is as old as the oldest surviving fossil remains of a third century chimpanzee.
Drink it, don't drink it, I don't care. Like I said, if you have one in your fridge, and hand it to me, I will gladly accept it. But I'll take a peek in behind you to see if you have anything good (you don't, big surprise). BückDich (4830), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Jan 28, 2004 Pale golden color with light creamy head that doesn't last long. Lots of lacing here though. The aroma is light malty with the adjuncts and dms showing through, not too harsh though, still mainly malty. The flavor is balanced with some crisp hop background to the vague absence of flavor. Finishes watery and bland as intended. Not horrible but not necissarily satiating either. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jan 24, 2004 i don't see why everyone dogged this beer out. it's not a world class beer but it was pretty good. better than BMC. not that good for the price. i've tasted similar for less. kinda tastes like sprite selzter water Stauffenberg (6), New York, USA does not count | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jan 19, 2004 Choose Canadian if you want a Molson product (or OV which apparently they are producing now). This beer has little taste, and what it does have seems to be a confused mixture of tart and bitter. Reminded me of eating rhubarb for the response on the tongue. The green bottle (inevitably dusty) doesn't make you want to pick this up off the shelf. Take the hint when it is obvious it has been there a long while! Patik (11), New York, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jan 18, 2004 Very light on taste and carbonation. Light golden color with a decent but short-lived head. Overall it's alright, doesn't taste bad at all, but I wouldn't buy it unless there was nothing decent available.
