Crash (447), Macomb, Illinois, USA Sep 8, 2003 This beer is ok but, the after taste was not that good. It left a weird taste in my mouth and as long I was drinking it I didn't notice. You do have to breathe.?. Darkover (1308), Columbus, Ohio, USA Sep 7, 2003 Updated: Feb 19, 2004Golden color with a big white head. Aroma of skunk and malt. Extremly watery with a little hop and malt flavors. JMerritt (1313), Macomb, Illinois, USA Sep 7, 2003 Light golden color, clear, with a medium sized head that dropped quickly. Mildly skunked aroma, ditto in the flavor. Finish was slightly sweet, almost brown sugary, but it is too little too late. Another shit beer that suffers even more from a green bottle. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Sep 1, 2003 Clear light yellow. Stinky and skunky nose of cigarettes and lemon. Not as skunked in the taste, and it was actually quite crisp with a mild lemon flavor. Reminds me of a kolsch. Not too complex, just simple, crisp, and unabrasive. Jedsbrew (465), Rhineland, Missouri, USA Aug 27, 2003 This beer was gold in color, the head was moderate and it had a mild spicy hop and malty aroma. Slightly fuller bodied than the average U.S. macro and hoppier. Good tasting beer. Dry finish with some lingering hoppiness. BBB63 (4199), La Porte, Indiana, USA Aug 12, 2003 Clear straw hue with small head and no lacing. Light hop and corn aroma. Taste was clean and crisp, okay hop presnece with some malt sweetness for balance. Nothing outstanding about this beer, but quaffable. Thin-bodied with a metallic feel. Kinz (2179), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA Aug 11, 2003 Smelled sort of like corn flakes. Slightly more color than a standard American Standard, but otherwise appearance the same. The flavor was odd, a bit more malty than I was expecting, some strange artificial hoppiness (must be the "essences," yikes!), and I swore I taste some menthol in here. Sort of like drinking a 40 of Crazy Horse while smoking a pack of Newports. Braudog (3733), Dayton, Ohio, USA Aug 11, 2003 The look of the standard ... golden and solid with good activity. This may be the best mass-produced lager in North America. This is exceptionally smooth, well balanced with a natural malt and hop balance, with none of the corn/stark starchy flavors common to the Buds and Millers. Not bad at all.
