COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Molson Brewmasters have created a new standard in smoothness with Molson Golden. Each batch is brewed with pure spring water and features a unique two part hopping procedure. Galena hop essences are added in the brewing kettle, followed by the addition of a patented, mild hop after fermentation.

I really can't tell the difference between this one and Molson Canadian. Somewhat sweet to dry bitter finish. Very much the Canadian standard here, simple.

Is this any different than Molson Canadian? Would anyone actually bother doing a side by side comparison? Pale yellow, thick fluffy head - didn't last long, very little lacing. Aroma was very light with sweetness. Taste was thin malt, sweet. As it warmed it gained a metallic "hop" taste - not even sure those were hops. On tap 11/16/03

Sweet, mild hops, light bodied, thin to medium head. Not a bad beer. A decent beer if your thirsty.

Strangely enough, I found myself drinking the whole bottle, as I was drawn into the sweet, somewhat sticky body despite the obvious flaws of the aroma (skunky, dusty, and dank) and the flavor (corn, cardboard, and chicken pot pie). The regularly formed, big, white head dissipated moderately quickly leaving a plain yellow body, but a good tingle of carbonation remained throughout. Ugly beer but on this one night in Dallas, I didn't mind it so much. I must have been in an odd mood, or I'm just sympathetic to Canadians.

For American/Canadian crap mega swill it's not too bad. It smells cheap and it tastes cheap. But like I said, for mega swill crap it's not too bad. It would be ok to drink this at a party just to get wasted.

Same as all other Molson beers. Same flavor, same skunk, same smells. Sour. I smell no underlying bitterness here. Corn, light taste, no real flavor at all. Swill basically.

UPDATED: AUG 9, 2004 I really like this beer. A little expensive as its an import but it has a good beer taste, a nice alcohol content and a crisp refreshing feeling when you drink it. Not the best aftertaste when you are done so make sure to order another so you don't realize. I still prefer molson canadian, but this is a close second.

UPDATED: DEC 12, 2008 [bottle] Very slight aroma, if any at all. Pale golden color with many bubbles and a good sized head. Easy to drink, but leaves a bitterness after a short time. Has a slight pine/nutty hint instantly but does not last very long. On the whole, not a bad beer. Possibly one of the upper level cheap beers to buy. The bitterness does make me question as to whether or not many can be drunk at a time.
