COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Molson Brewmasters have created a new standard in smoothness with Molson Golden. Each batch is brewed with pure spring water and features a unique two part hopping procedure. Galena hop essences are added in the brewing kettle, followed by the addition of a patented, mild hop after fermentation.

Clear straw hue with small head and no lacing. Light hop and corn aroma. Taste was clean and crisp, okay hop presnece with some malt sweetness for balance. Nothing outstanding about this beer, but quaffable. Thin-bodied with a metallic feel.

Smelled sort of like corn flakes. Slightly more color than a standard American Standard, but otherwise appearance the same. The flavor was odd, a bit more malty than I was expecting, some strange artificial hoppiness (must be the "essences," yikes!), and I swore I taste some menthol in here. Sort of like drinking a 40 of Crazy Horse while smoking a pack of Newports.

The look of the standard ... golden and solid with good activity. This may be the best mass-produced lager in North America. This is exceptionally smooth, well balanced with a natural malt and hop balance, with none of the corn/stark starchy flavors common to the Buds and Millers. Not bad at all.

I have always enjoyed this beer because it reminds me of my youth / high school. Gets good grades on that alone. To many great memories follow this one!

Now that has to be the what beer is supposed to taste like.Nice head nice malty flavor with the hops coming through may be some adjunct grains there but if that is the flavor they add I welcome them.Perfect level of bitterness. If you don't like this your kidding yourself you really don't like beer you want a malt beverage like the rest of the yuppies.

Not a great brew but not a real bad one either I suppose. Skunky and heavily carbonated, smelled like a skunk. Usually I can drink no more than two of these in a row before I have to switch to something else.

Green bottle. Light skunk to the nose. Tasteless but for a hint of corn in the water.

Odd taste initially, not hops but almost rubbing alcohol-like.Not worth the price or effort to choke down.
