Commercial Description:
Molson Brewmasters have created a new standard in smoothness with Molson Golden. Each batch is brewed with pure spring water and features a unique two part hopping procedure. Galena hop essences are added in the brewing kettle, followed by the addition of a patented, mild hop after fermentation.

The picture on this page is different from the bottles of this that I’ve drank, but its a damn fine beer. It costs a pretty penny, but this is one of the regular beers I scoop up when I am feeling celebratory or just have money to blow. Even though they’re pop tops, one time I was hammered and twisted one off -- no lie, dont know how though.

Smooth, I can drink this with a meal or by itself. LaBatt Blue is still better though.

Pale color; smells a bit like a skunk (I’m not kidding!), VERY hard to tell the difference b/w this and their Export (and I tried them side-by-side); if anything, the Golden is a slight bit crisper, they are the IDENTICAL color-which makes you wonder, once I get past my utter lack of respect for this brand, I’m forced to concede the brew is OK, It had to get the same score as the Ale-it’s the same stuff!

Better than a lot of the Canadian beers they send South, but not really that good. Good to drink while working outside or with a meal, but not really worth it just for the taste.

Very mild, ok for thirst quenching, but boring overall.

Not for me. Went down OK, but nice and fast. No aroma to speak of, a little malt snuck in, and a tinge of hops, but very artificial tasting.

I would drink this quite a bit around the time I drank Labatt’s a lot, too. Both are decent, above-average beers but I got a little tired of both after a while and haven’t had either in months. Something I’d drink, but not seek out. Was sort of an introduction to pilsners (then again, this may not even be of that style), though, which I like if they’re nice and strong; this one’s pretty mild in comparison.
