Commercial Description:
Molson Brewmasters have created a new standard in smoothness with Molson Golden. Each batch is brewed with pure spring water and features a unique two part hopping procedure. Galena hop essences are added in the brewing kettle, followed by the addition of a patented, mild hop after fermentation.

12 oz. bottle. Dark golden wih a small, fizzy head. Aroma is major skunk with some grass and grain. Very grassy and corny taste. Notice the description says hop ESSENCES are added... not actual hops. Medium bodied.

(Bottle) Compared to other similar macro pale lagers, I think this one was sweeter, having a richer grain character and a creamy quality. On the other hand, it had less hops than even what is typical for a pale lager, and had less overall bite and was less refreshing. It tasted too heavy, and I found the sweetness offensive. Not my choice, but I’d take it over bud, and it was worth trying to know what it was like.

Crisp and light, yellow, skunk and a hint of lemon going down, still a fairly weak beer.

Bottle from Utah State Store. Pours a clear gold with a medium white frothy head that quickly dissipates. The aroma is sweet corn and malt. The flavor is fairly sweet, and actually kinda boozy, some grains and malts, and a touch of citrus and a slight bitter metallic hop finish. OK, but not a good pale lager.

Bottle. Pale yellow pour with a thin white head that disappeared quickly. Sweet smell, mediocre hoppy taste. Smooth and clean--serves well as a thirst quencher.
