shigadeyo (2210), Harrison, Ohio, USA Nov 15, 2007 11/11/2007: Molson Golden is a decent golden ale that is smooth, well balanced, and easy to drink. I actually prefer this beer (or any Michelob product) over Bud or Miller any time. Nothing really jumps out of the aroma, but it definately doesn’t have that grainy "beeriness" like most other macros. This unattractive quality is also mising in the flavor. The best way I can describe this beer is like mildly sweetened malt and sunshine (I must be influenced by the "Golden" monicker on the label) in a bottle. This beer has a light to medium-light body, but isn’t overly carbonated and fizzy, but it quite smooth. Molson Golden might not be the best beer in the world, but it isnt that terrible and goes really well with pizza (but then again, most beers do!).
12 fl. oz. green twist-off bottle. Rating #388 for this beer...
RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Oct 11, 2007 Had this beer on 5/6/2005. First off it is in a green bottle so it may not be all that good. Aroma is a light malt scent. Color is a bright crisp gold with good carbonation and a thin head. Taste is smooth and light. Starting with a light body that goes down with a crisp fizzy feel. Finish comes on crisp with a light malt flavor that is backed by a mild bitterness and very light hop flavor. well its much better then I was expecting it to be. dancatts (91), Pennsylvania, USA Oct 4, 2007 Has almost the same taste as molson canadian. Very light, no aroma, and little aftertaste. Nothing special, but it satisfies when thirsty. BallyLoser (134), Redmond, Washington, USA Sep 29, 2007 Not my favorite for a pale lager. Must be a snowy Canadian thing. Not a fan of this one. awwshiz (76), USA Sep 2, 2007 This beer kind of taste OK at first, but the stale grass aftertaste is enough to scare me off for life. There are many better options at every bar. sneezey (110), Hackettstown, New Jersey, USA Sep 2, 2007 Very Dutch, very yeasty, heavier than most and at least not skunky. Not good, but not a disaster wither. If you’ve got some pizza the yeasty flavor actually would be a complement. ilovedarkbeer (1326), Dallas, Texas, USA Aug 20, 2007 Fishing beer. Typical pale lager that is very smooth and has less biterness. Not good but not terrible.
