Molson Brewmasters have created a new standard in smoothness with Molson Golden. Each batch is brewed with pure spring water and features a unique two part hopping procedure. Galena hop essences are added in the brewing kettle, followed by the addition of a patented, mild hop after fermentation.

Wooo doggie that is one skunky brew when I first opened it up; but that is to be expected from some of them adjunct lagers. Not much to yak about on this brew as it is much akin to all the other mass produced beers of this style: lifeless and tasteless. It would not surprise me to find this along side other macro brews at the local bar on those $1 pint nights! That’s a pint of beer (I reckon that’s what they are passing for!) for one dollar … one dollar … only the cheap brews baring the least of qualities and damning the name of good beer are sold at these ‘specials’. None for me thank ya kindly!

12 oz bottle from Cash Wise in Williston. Appearance: two fingers white head, straw color, clear, light lacing. Aroma: grass, light fruit, leaves, biscuits. Palate: light body, average to soft carbonation, light bitter finish, light dry finish. Taste: light sweet biscuity malt and light grassy bitter hops at the end. Overall, drinkable, refreshing, but really just a beer. Good for what it is though.

I’ve always said that this is stale left over Molson Canadian, nothing special going on here. Not a bad beer on a hot day, this one is a little harder to find further away from Canada, so I just stick with the more readily available Molson Canadian or Labatt’s Blue when I feel like letting the Canadian Flag fly (I’m originally from the boarder).

It’s the Budweiser of Canada. Not a bad beer but there is better. Goes good with watching Hockey.

From a keg. Golden in color with little head retention. Very subtle aromas of grass and sweet malt. Slight sweet flavors upfront that finish with muted citrus and a bit of biscuit. Very light mouthfeel with a dry finish. Not horrible. There are worse beers.

Bottle at my uncle’s. Aroma is light corn, bread crust, and noble hop. Pours amber with a nice fizzy foamy head. Taste is clean grains, caramel, and a light malt body. Good tasty pale lager. Enjoyed this more than I thought I would.

Here’s one of those after hockey beers that I stole to take home to analyze because of my OCD behavior. Here’s my take. Into a pint glass, the appearance was a super light yellow to golden amber color with a decent half finger-ed white foamy head. The smell had some roasted corn huskiness to it. The taste was semi-sweet and showed a semi-decent crisp grassiness about it. The palate sat fairly light and showed a great deal of sessionability about this one. Overall, this is just another AAL. Cheers.

If you’re drinking Canadian go with labatt. Nothing special here. Goes down easy though

Not bad for a canadian beer. This is the first beer I ever drank so I always enjoy it.

Yellow fizzy pour with a head that disappears pretty quick. Grainy & slightly skunky aroma but with a surprising & almost shocking odd but not unpleasant taste. This is a different pale lager with a sharp alcohol and slightly odd grainy / hoppy taste. Very dry and full of adjuncts, this does not have any ale characteristics as claimed and the finish is a very flat beer type boozy. Not a typical pale lager, reminds me of an Ice party beer.

Bottle (Old Notes)-Pours golden with a small white head. Aroma of corn, malt, and slight hops. Taste of mostly malt with some slight hops thrown in. This light bodied brew is what it is and is not bad compare to the other Canadian Pale Lagers.
