Molson Brewmasters have created a new standard in smoothness with Molson Golden. Each batch is brewed with pure spring water and features a unique two part hopping procedure. Galena hop essences are added in the brewing kettle, followed by the addition of a patented, mild hop after fermentation.

Wooo doggie that is one skunky brew when I first opened it up; but that is to be expected from some of them adjunct lagers. Not much to yak about on this brew as it is much akin to all the other mass produced beers of this style: lifeless and tasteless. It would not surprise me to find this along side other macro brews at the local bar on those $1 pint nights! That’s a pint of beer (I reckon that’s what they are passing for!) for one dollar … one dollar … only the cheap brews baring the least of qualities and damning the name of good beer are sold at these ‘specials’. None for me thank ya kindly!

12oz bottle pours crystal clear golden yellow with medium head. Nose is faint lemon, grain, corn, cereal. Taste is watery cornbread, corn flakes, cereal, cracker, mild bitterness. No real hops outside of a whisper of lemon you really have to dig for. Finish is mild bitter corn flakes, watery, a hint of apple. Not good, not bad, not anything, it’s just...nothing. Corn water.

Bottle from wegmans. Pours a golden color with a white head, poor retention. Aromas of grassy hops and cereals. Taste is semi sweet. Flavors of corn and grass. Thin.

Pours pale yellow with a thin, fizzy head that's mostly gone in 10-15 seconds. Faint cider-like scent. Taste is sweet. Thin, fizzy beer. Drinkable, but not remarkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

" can be a decent, crisp beer when it’s not skunky, but unfortunately that it not very often. not enough good to overcome this. not at all recommended."

Liked the aroma and the flavor was consistent with each one. A pleasant beer to have at the end of the day and/or with friends. No bite to it.

Gold straw. Two inch white head dissipates quickly. Typical adjunct aroma of corn, grass, some light malt. Flavor of light hops and corn. Finishes sweet with grass and more light hops. Not bad for an adjunct lager but not something I would really ask for given another choice.

12 oz bottle from Cash Wise in Williston. Appearance: two fingers white head, straw color, clear, light lacing. Aroma: grass, light fruit, leaves, biscuits. Palate: light body, average to soft carbonation, light bitter finish, light dry finish. Taste: light sweet biscuity malt and light grassy bitter hops at the end. Overall, drinkable, refreshing, but really just a beer. Good for what it is though.

I’ve always said that this is stale left over Molson Canadian, nothing special going on here. Not a bad beer on a hot day, this one is a little harder to find further away from Canada, so I just stick with the more readily available Molson Canadian or Labatt’s Blue when I feel like letting the Canadian Flag fly (I’m originally from the boarder).

It’s the Budweiser of Canada. Not a bad beer but there is better. Goes good with watching Hockey.

From a keg. Golden in color with little head retention. Very subtle aromas of grass and sweet malt. Slight sweet flavors upfront that finish with muted citrus and a bit of biscuit. Very light mouthfeel with a dry finish. Not horrible. There are worse beers.
