12oz bottle pours a pale golden with a small white head. Corn and malt aroma with light grassy hops. Pretty tasteless, watery corn and malt, not offensive.

Bottle to shaker glass, pours clear yellow, small quick head. Slight lacing, no retention. Aroma of corn. Taste is skunky sweet. Light bodied, fizzy carbonation, watery mouth feel. Finishes skunky sweet. Tasting notes of corn, grass, skunk, bubblegum and metal. Next............

Pours a clear and bubbly corn colour, 1" of foam. Has that adjunct Lager smell thatís perfumy with corny vegetable notes. Corn sweetish flavour with a mild bitterness, usual mouthfeel for the style, which ainít a bad thing. Picked up in a mixed 6 pack. Only way to go..

This is the typical skunky lager, but I find it a bit smoother than most of the american lagers, probably because itís a pale lager. Also maybe the water slightly better/cleaner. To me, itís more like the Molson Exta Pale versus Molson Golden...but with a slightly higher ABV%. Itís not a bad bar beer if they only serve domestic and such.

355ml twist off bottle. SEP0814 printed on neck. Drank from the bottle on an outdoor ice rink. Its a crappy ice beer, not as good as the dry versions.

"very similar to Labatt Ice in almost every way. A decent enough session beer. Nothing more, nothing less...I guess it depends what you expect. Ever so slightly recomended for a macrobrew."

DATE TASTED: September 12, 2014... GLASSWARE: Baltika stange...OCCASION: Oís double-header sweep... APPEARANCE: shockingly lucid soft yellow body that is thinly bubbly; thick, foamy three-finger head laces sporadically; surprisingly tangible patterns .. AROMA: definite biscuit mats present; hops are slightly corny, a bit funky and gassy? noxious? some light bubblegum too--odd... PALATE: firm, medium-bodied, oily and lingering, though the aftertaste is light and unobtrusive...TASTE: lightly toasted, with some beechwood in the aftertaste; sweet and malty when swished; nondeScript otherwise...OVERALL: mellow-not at all the Ice that one expects; at 5.6 ABV, it provides a bit more heft than the usual rote pilsener; sweet, cleansing and soft by its end...like the oversized can, but not much making this experience memorable...

Transfer from BA review on 12-30-12- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance- Pours a golden-straw color with a one finger fizzy head. The head of the brew fades quite quickly to leave only minimal lacing. Smell Ė The aroma is sweet of corn and has a decent bready smell. Mixed with these aromas is a light caramel as well. Taste Ė The taste is quite sweet up front and remains so throughout the taste. It begins with a light bready taste mixed with a strong sweet corn taste. As the taste advances the bready fades with the sweet getting stronger. As the taste sweetened with flavors of caramel and more corn, it became a little cloying. The flavors were never really off, just a little too sweet. In the end a light metallic taste joins the sweetness leaving a sweet and light metal flavor on the tongue. Mouthfeel ĖThe body of the beer was on the average side in terms of creaminess and carbonation. Both were good for the style and made for a rather easy drinking brew. Overall- Well nothing really all that fantastic and definitely nothing to go out of your way for. For 50 cents a bottle thought, you canít expect too much, and it could be good for a party style brew I suppose.
