2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Average looking macro pour with a strange, astringent aroma. The appearance and aroma really drag the score down. There is a bit of a harsh aftertaste, but otherwise this is one of the better ice brewed beers.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Transfer from BA review on 12-30-12-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance- Pours a golden-straw color with a one finger fizzy head. The head of the brew fades quite quickly to leave only minimal lacing.
Smell Ė The aroma is sweet of corn and has a decent bready smell. Mixed with these aromas is a light caramel as well.
Taste Ė The taste is quite sweet up front and remains so throughout the taste. It begins with a light bready taste mixed with a strong sweet corn taste. As the taste advances the bready fades with the sweet getting stronger. As the taste sweetened with flavors of caramel and more corn, it became a little cloying. The flavors were never really off, just a little too sweet. In the end a light metallic taste joins the sweetness leaving a sweet and light metal flavor on the tongue.
Mouthfeel ĖThe body of the beer was on the average side in terms of creaminess and carbonation. Both were good for the style and made for a rather easy drinking brew.
Overall- Well nothing really all that fantastic and definitely nothing to go out of your way for. For 50 cents a bottle thought, you canít expect too much, and it could be good for a party style brew I suppose.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
It has a light golden color with very good clarity and lots of carbonation. The head builds up tall and foamy and it is just off white in color. It fades nearly as fast as it forms leaving behind little to lace. The aroma is simple and clean with a mild cereal grain character. Its flavor is similar to Molson Canadian but a little stronger. The favor is somewhat sweet with a cereal grain malty body offset by a light grassy hop presence. It finish quickly and cleanly, a little bit dry, with some of the light hops bitterness. The texture is smooth but with good carbonation and a medium body.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hmmmm...ha, just found an old after hockey beer. Hereís my take.
This was always poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a super light yellow to almost golden color with a rapidly dissipating white foamy/bubbly head. The lacing was mainly not really there.
The smell had that typical cooked corn/rice thing going on.
The taste was mostly just sweet through the previously mentioned flavors.
The palate, well, that was pretty light for the most part and it showed a fairly decent sessionable quality about it.
Overall, well, its an AAL, what does one expect? Me, hmmm...not bad, Iíd have again depending upon what else was served.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma of corn, grains, and slight malt. Taste of malt, corn, and light hops. This light bodied brew is just another "ice" pale lager.

0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20
This is my first stab at a rating, so I figured Iíd start with a softball, good ol Molson Ice. Once upon a time, I used to think Ice Beer was some kind of premium; now I know them for what they are: crap beer that has had extra crappiness frozen into it by removing some of itís most redeeming ingredient...water.
Smell: Awful. Reminiscent of the menís bathroom at a stadium during your 6th inning piss break.
Appearance: Darkish yellow, pretty much what you would expect when you take a light beer, freeze it, then squeeze it out like concentrated orange juice. Imagine that. lots of misleading head that quickly dissolves to nothing. However, if forced at gunpoint to experience this swill using just one of my senses, I guess looking at it isnít all that bad. So, you know, props to Molson Ice for not looking as bad as it smells/tastes/is!
Taste: Remarkably metallic, considering I poured it from a bottle. When I was younger, I drank beer with my friends but secretly thought it tasted awful and assumed all beer was like that. This is one of those beers that lead me to that early opinion and no doubt robbed me of several years of actually enjoying good beer. Thanks a pile, Canada!
Palate: Sticky yet watery, like a sprite thatís gone flat in a solo cup. Only instead of sprite, itís actually mop water from aforementioned stadium bathroom, and by solo cup I mean a crusty sweat sock.
Overall: Terrible. Not even a low-budget choice. For tight budget weeks, Iíll stick with the lights...not much to right home about either way but at least Iím spared the assault to all of my senses (except one). If this is the only thing to drink, I canít help but wonder if I floated a few ice cubes in this swill if maybe, just maybe, the water-to-alcohol ration might balance out enough to turn it back into plain íOl Molson and henceforth become merely tasteless yet tolerable.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle at home. Pours brilliantly clear gold with a small, frothy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is corn, Pils malt, light alcohol notes, and spicy hops. Flavor is pale malt, corn, light hops and bitterness, light alcohol and a sweet finish. Light body and medium carbonation.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
I poured a 24oz can into a 1-liter boot stein. It had a best before date of 6/16/14 and cost $1.28 ($0.05 per ounce).
Appearance: Crystal-clear golden hue with plenty of spastic effervescence. Pours to a fairly large, white, fluffy head which actually laces and retains well for the style.
Smell: Corn grits and flaked maize (but I repeat myself). Generic adjunct lager aroma. Nothing foul.
Taste: Usually, beers with "Ice" in the name tend to intimidate me more than actual malt liquors. Something about the freeze distillation tends to give the beer a dirty, metallic flavor. Thatís how I remember Molson Ice when I reviewed in 2010. It was brewed in Canada back then, but this particular can was brewed by Coors in Colorado. Iím not sure if the recipe was changed or if Americans do a better job of brewing it, but the result is a relatively strong pale adjunct lager thatís far from terrible.
Much like Coors Light, Molson Ice has an overt taste of corn that dominates the palette. Unlike Coors Light, thereís no tang or sharp sensation, nor is there any club soda-like character present. While there isnít a lot of true taste to the palette, whatís here isnít offensive. Itís not appealing, either, merely tolerable. No overt off-flavors or brewing flaws, but little to genuinely enjoy.
Drinkability: I was surprised at how quickly and easily I was able to suck down an entire 24oz serving of Molson Ice. The mouthfeel is rather thin, but of course quite bubbly, which leads to plenty of burping. It is refreshing while crossing the tongue and finishes completely clean. Itíd be nice if it had more flavor considering its weight of 5.6% ABV, but this beer is consumed for its performance value so itís understandable.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
24oz can, from the Growler Stop shell gas station. Best by June 9 14. Clear golden color. Inch of nice rocky white head, with great retention. Nice continuous stream of bubbles. A few arms of lace. This is a nice looking beer. Medium body. Smooth, soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Reasonable smooth and easy drinking. Relatively clean bready aroma, some lemon citrus. Moderate tart taste, sweet, a very light bite. Much better than expected. Good value for the $1.50.
