2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 presario (3976) - Stampede City, - NOV 11, 2009
I have been waiting months to post this review! I got a 6-pack as part of a test market this summer. Half of the questions had to do with whether I would pay more for this than Canadian and the best package size. I was going to share a couple of bottles but to get my pay I was supposed to drink all 6. It was a cool idea at the start but I did not look forward to the last two. To answer the inevitable question the carbonation bubbles were tiny....so what! In a blind taste test I don’t think anyone would comment on tasting bubbles and could not distinguish from Canadian when cold. It is a little smoother than Canadian and less fusal as it warms. Other than that yellow/gold, tiny bubbles, thin head, aroma a bit grain and corn. A fad soon to be forgotten and Molson’s effort to make their beer hip and cool at the upscale bar or night club. Unfortunately a Coors version will probably follow. Makes the new Bud Light Golden Wheat a good idea.

From can. Pours very clear and light gold. Plenty of carbonation but not much head. Initial taste response was better than I expected but ends with a sharp disappointing plain lager note.

On tap in Winnipeg. Another "meh" beer. Nice bubbles, it’s kind of attractive, but this probably influences me to rate it higher than it deserves. Not much taste.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Diogène (990) - Mirabel, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 28, 2011
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 RC8 (303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 3, 2011
They got an interesting texture going here, very foamy. Corn. Sweet. No hops to be found. I can’t say I was disappointed because it was free, and the texture made it more pleasant to drink than an non-textured equivalent... I would have it again for free, but there’s few pubs that wouldn’t serve something much better.
1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 VT (125) - Quebec City, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 3, 2011
341 ml. Pours a pale yellow, very clear. Thin white head dissipates within seconds. Tastes of corn syrup, some bitterness. Carbonation just might be the only interesting thing about this lager. Highly disappointing, but may still do the job on a very hot summer day...
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 reebtogi (1524) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 22, 2011
500ml can pours a straw color with a small white head that settles leaving virtually no head behind. Aroma is light grains. Taste is light sweet malts and an undesirable hoppy bitterness. Light bodied and adequate carbonation leaves a lingering horrible bitterness and is just another average macro brew. Enough said.
1.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 GarnotingPete (318) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 21, 2011

UPDATED: NOV 18, 2011 It pours a suspiciously bright yellow. The best you can say about this beer is that it doesn’t taste bad... because it tastes almost nothing at all.
There some sweentness reminescing of corny syrup in there if you look hard enough but that’s it. I’d rather have juice, given the choice.
