1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
UPDATED: NOV 6, 2003 Relatively bland golden ale, consumed mostly in Legion halls and retirement homes by old cobbers who want the fuller tasting beer they remember but don't 'get' these new-fangled microbrews.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle courtesy of Tupalev. Yellow body, with a surprisingly decent white head. Mild sweet grainy pale malt aroma. Similar flavour, fairly sweet pale malt, light straw notes and very mild lemon hints in the background. Average palate is decent for a macro brew. Less crappy than anticipated.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Appearance: Clean golden ale with large, bright Ėwhite top. Good lace hosted. 3+
Nose Grainy, wet notion. Medicinal end with faint fruity touch.
Flavor/Palate : Medium light bodied , grainy with some oily feel. Fruity , apple like finish mixed with dry alcoholic catch. Poor.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle (341ml). Shared with blankboy at the Only Cafe. Pale gold with an average lasting foamy-fizzy-sticky white head. Initial aroma pretty nasty, but that quickly seemed to diminish, leaving generic Canadian macro ale, less corny and fake than, say, Molson Canadian - slightly honey-sweet, decent bit of malty grain; essentially inoffensive. Flavour pretty much the same - some corn, mostly grain, a hint of metal (older bottle?). Fizzy, somewhat watery mouthfeel - not really that bad, good fishiní beer if you canít find better.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Draft. Pale yellow, frothy white head. Vaguely fruity, predominantly grainy aroma and flavour. Watery body, empty finish. The description listed by the brewer is laughable compared to the reality.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry at the Only Cafť. Pours a clear bubbly pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of sweet grain and a mild odd sourness. Watery flavour of grain, some malt and a touch of citrus. Eh, itís O.K. I guess, nothing Iíd get again but better then anything else Iíve had from Molson.

[861-20071130] 341mL (w/ GregClow, jerc, tupalev). Mildly skunky sweet yeast aroma. Clear, golden orange body with a quick foamy white head. Grains and sweet yeast flavour. Light-medium body. Um, stocky?

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle, sweet aroma and aroma. Pretty simple, better than most of theSe canadian macros. Reminds me of the pre-21 days and heading over to the Ontario bars

0.7 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Can sampled at a friendís place. Watered down, extremely bland, though not as vile as I anticipated. Nothing going on here - quite shit.

Maybe its because my beer DID date back to 1908 but I cannot fathom why this beer has got such good ratings? Fine: it is a superior Molson product but in the world of blond ales this doesnít stand up to the international competition. Most people out there must have been rating this beer upon finishing their 24th beer...
