$2.90 for the can, purchased from town. This is another brew I simply cannot believe I havenít tried. But I digress... corn grainy, light malted extracts, and vegetation: thatís what I grabbed and remembered as belonging to this beerís flavor profile. Weak, and watery. But, it didnít leave any horrible aftertaste. Pal-yellow complexion sustaining a big frothy white head. Thanks, Canada.

Bottle share thanks to Homer... Golden delicious. Mild aroma, taste just above water. Solid malt likka, not much skunk, or pissy.

Can share thanks to Homer321 via BooostiousIPAious. Pours a brilliantly clear light golden color. Light sweet corn adjunct character and light boost notes. Crisp, slightly fruity, corn, smooth. Very well balanced.

Similar to Molson Hi-Dry in that people drank this to get hammered when I was in high school. Among metalheads the XXX and black+silver branding were a big hit, the taste not so much. But hey you were drunk faster & had to drink less of the stuff so thatís good isnít it?

12 oz bottle into a mug at Stagecoach. Gold and clear with minimal head. Sweet malts, light bitter hops, corn. Medium body.

This is a great fallback beer (not a compliment) but definitely not a fine brew. The screw-off cap is a clue to its taste. Pouring an almost Budlike yellow, it spawns a relatively thin head that dissipates after a minute. The aroma smells weakly beerlike, but is offputting. This one is best characterized as íthiní when looking at it, and at over 7% ABV, the alcoholic overtones are overwhelming. Its aftertastes hangs on long after drinking it so much that itís hard to tell if this is a really bad pilsner or a lager. This lager gives Colt45 a run for its money, but Iíd rather drink the Colt. If youíre looking for an overdose without taste, Molson XXX is a good pick.

Clear Pale Yellow with a filmy head and a very high amount of carbonation. Strong smell of booze, cereal grains, pale malts, grassiness and some skunkiness. Tastes like burnt cardboard, malts, booze, grassiness and skunkiness. Body is light and crisp but the carbonation is strong. Yeah, this was pretty bad.

DATE TASTED: August 30, 2013 ... GLASSWARE: 22 oz. pilsner glass... OCCASION: watching The Tree of Life and trying to see what the director sees...APPEARANCE: pale golden effervescent body that holds a half-finger, off-white oily head; appears to be a pilsner; tracing is surprisingly consistent... AROMA: high-pitched doughy malts; toasted oats and cereal--not raunchy, but not appealing...PALATE: thin, slightly textured with the warmth of alcohol overtly at the throat; thirst quenching, yes...TASTE: blandly doughy; highly malty--the 40 ounce variety that makes this bitter and slightly abrasive... OVERALL: the XXX appeals for a purely frat-boy infatuation--I recall a good friend proudly plopping this on our curb, proclaiming the party to be "on"...otherwise, this lager scores a few points for not punishing with the alcohol, but t is worth seeking out almost solely for the alcohol per dollar ratio....

Pours clear golden with white head. Aroma of corn and some booze. Taste brings the same flavors and some butter. A little cardboard too. Thin palate. Finish is buttery corn. Yay!
