Bottle to shaker glass, pours clear golden two fingers off white foamy head. some lacing and retention. Aroma of corn and perfume. Taste is metallic sweet. Medium bodied, lively carbonation, strange cough syrup-like mouth feel. Finishes long and nasty. Tasting notes in addition to the above are skunk, alcohol, corn sugar butterscotch. This is really nasty stuff here! :-(

Clear dark yellow, foamy white head. Aroma is fusel alcohols, metal, corn. Taste is sticky sweet malts, corn, metal and off-flavors aplenty. Drinks smooth, but has a harsh finish from the ABV. Meh.

Smells like malt and alcohol. Anything other than that, I guess maybe bread and some indistinct fruit. Taste is also mostly booze and faint fruitiness. It has a medium body with virtually no head.

Can. Crisp light yellow with small foamy white head, yeast aroma, medium carbonation, sweetish taste, abrupt finish. Certainly not "premium" as advertised, not even close.

Went to crappy bodega across the street to buy a Guiness to celebrate St Pattys then I saw this gem and needing the malt liquor tick grabbed it. Pours golden with white head. Nose is of butter and deli meat. Tastes of corn, butter, metallic, and decomposition. Palate is fair and finishes sweet and of chemicals.

I first had this in 1994 while in Toronto with my buddy Rob (we were staying at his brother’s place in North York), playing some hockey and watching the Rangers and Nucks go at it in the Final (Rangers put the 1940 thing to bed finally!)... was advertised as the ’strongest beer in Canada’ at the time (before craft beer was even a thing stateside... let alone Canada). Back then it was about strength more than taste... since most beer in North America tasted like... well... ’beer’ as the word was understood at the time. Anyhow, 21 years later, this still tastes the same... although my palate has vastly expanded (as the brewing scenery has also). A decent way to get where you’re trying to go, without a lot of beer geek adjectives to explain it. It’s fucking mass-produced lager, with a decent ABV wallop -- what else really needs to be said? And to the dickbag from Michigan who mentioned the ’Cleveland Steamer’... your mom excels at those, ya punk-assed prick. Go Buckeyes!

A cruddy beer, with a medium-high alcohol content, and only slightly less unpleasant than American counterparts of the style.... Id bet that downing three of these in rapid succession could "get things going", if that is what youre after

Can: Luckily enough to try some of this thanks to my roommate who is in a beer hockey league. This beer does not even deserve the time for a proper review. Tastes like metallic shitty rain water. Corn. Grain. Metal. Sharp, astringent ass juice. This beer is a liquid Cleveland Steamer.

Dark yellow 2 finger creamy white head. the aroma is straight up adjuncts with a little caramel. Wow, this is straight up terrible. just like crappy rice-wine and some rotten fruits.
