Can. Not bad really. About 20 cents more than Steel Reserve and notably better. Some corn and pale malt characters with some slight bitterness and a dry finidh from the booze.

355ml can pours a pale straw color with a small white head and no lacing. Aroma is grains and hops with alcohol. Taste is malty sweet with alcohol and an undesirable hop bitterness. On par for the style.

Bottle courtesy of Frank. Mild alcohol and corn sweetness with a bit of hop beaniness. Weak nose. Pale dull golden clear with no head. Medium watery body with high carbonation. Starts sweet with alcohol, corn, and some tannic astringency. Bitter hop finish with alcohol sweetness. Not very good.

Nice amber/gold color; Light to medium body; Aroma of malt, cereal, & subtle floral; Flavor of slight sweet malt, grain, and some hops; Some alcohol at the finish; Overall, I was expecting the worst - but not terrible.

Okay, the night of Canadian beers continues with Molson Explicit XXX - The beer is explicit, explicitly terrible! Sweet malts that don’t belong and some questionable hop presence. Even the alcohol comes through pretty big on a modest 7.3% I guess you could say a 6’er would mash you pretty well, but that is about the only positive I can come up with.

Distinctly bad, even for the genre. painfully thin taste (but with enough adjuncts to let you know what you’re drinking), a bit of corn, and a dry, astringent burn. Cheap and strong, and not much else

Molson XXX from a bottle. Pours a golden color with a surprizingly large head that lasts for a while. Faint hops in the nose along with industrial sweetness. Thin mouthfeel. Also surprizing is that I cannot detect very much alcohol on the tongue. This is not a great beer, but as far as malt liquors go, this one is a keeper. Price is the only downside - it’s priced as a craft beer.

An industrial light beer flavored with alcohol. A good choice for a lawn mowing beer when you want to mow the lawn drunk.

Can- Pours a light golden color with a big frizzy head and ample lacing. Has a skunky aroma with a musty sweetness. Has a syrupy sweetness with a cheap whiskey flavor and a sweet sticky finish. Light body, too sweet. One and done. All I can think of is "Offical Beverage of Hockey Hooligans".
