If you're a person who likes high alcohol content and no flavor, this beer is great for you. But, if you like high alcohol and a great tasting beer, I suggest you spend your money on Yards IPA if you live in the Pennsylvania area. This is one of the most flavorful IPAs in the world, for a very reasonable price, that comes in at 8.0% ABV although you will never guess it because it is so smooth and full bodied. The Molson XXX will probably be a great seller among the college crowd but, unfortunately, they are missing out on so many strong beers that also have a very important dimension that this beer lacks - “FLAVOR”.

I first had this in 1994 while in Toronto with my buddy Rob (we were staying at his brother’s place in North York), playing some hockey and watching the Rangers and Nucks go at it in the Final (Rangers put the 1940 thing to bed finally!)... was advertised as the ’strongest beer in Canada’ at the time (before craft beer was even a thing stateside... let alone Canada). Back then it was about strength more than taste... since most beer in North America tasted like... well... ’beer’ as the word was understood at the time. Anyhow, 21 years later, this still tastes the same... although my palate has vastly expanded (as the brewing scenery has also). A decent way to get where you’re trying to go, without a lot of beer geek adjectives to explain it. It’s fucking mass-produced lager, with a decent ABV wallop -- what else really needs to be said? And to the dickbag from Michigan who mentioned the ’Cleveland Steamer’... your mom excels at those, ya punk-assed prick. Go Buckeyes!

A cruddy beer, with a medium-high alcohol content, and only slightly less unpleasant than American counterparts of the style.... Id bet that downing three of these in rapid succession could "get things going", if that is what youre after

Can: Luckily enough to try some of this thanks to my roommate who is in a beer hockey league. This beer does not even deserve the time for a proper review. Tastes like metallic shitty rain water. Corn. Grain. Metal. Sharp, astringent ass juice. This beer is a liquid Cleveland Steamer.

Dark yellow 2 finger creamy white head. the aroma is straight up adjuncts with a little caramel. Wow, this is straight up terrible. just like crappy rice-wine and some rotten fruits.

another slightly sweet, crisp, clean beer. had it in Canada, and while it’s not as good as many microbrews, it’s more than you expect from a country’s #1 or 2 brewery."

Molson’s version of Malt Liquor. My buddies and I got this while hitting the clubs in Canada because the drinking age was 19 and this hit quicker than the regular brews. I haven’t had one in a while but now that I’m older and wiser I probably wouldn’t like it as much.

Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a light yellow color with a fast rising carbonation trying to fill a rapidly dissipating foamy head. There wasn’t any lacing. The smell had a sweet corn /slightly toasted cereal maltiness. The taste was mainly sweet through the corn. On the palate, this one sat fairly light and came across somewhat creamy smooth. Overall, this is your basic American malt liquor, nothing special and nothing bad.

Tasted on 7/10/14 from a 24oz can purchased at a gas station in Georgia. Pours clear pale golden with an average white head that slowly recedes to thin lace. The nose is corn and toast with the faintest hint of green hops. The flavor is very corny with toast and the same very faint hint of green. The body is medium with average, fizzy carbonation, and a short toasty, corny finish.

Light amber/gold color; Medium body; Aroma of malt, cereal, & subtle floral; Flavor of slight sweet malt, cereal, and some grain; Some alcohol at the finish; Not too bad.
