COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Kentish Gold hops are used as bittering hop, dry hopped and wet hopped. 10% smoked malt is used. Bottom fermented (!)

On tap at Borefts BF 2012, Bodegraven. Pours dark brown with a creamy, beige cap. Nose holds dirt, dark berries and mellow cocoa. Light sweet flavor with some licorice and bitter cococa. Light bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Fine finish with a bit of earthy bitterness, light cocoa, some toasty sugars. Not bad. Pretty mellow overall.

From tap @Borefts 2012. Black body. Light brown head. Rich malt aroma: Cocoa, creamed caramel and mild coffee ground. Good malt body. Cocoa-accented, creamed, and lightly sweet, with a some fresh sourish sidenotes. Nice.

Clear dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, moderate chocolate and coffee, light creamy coffee. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Borefts Beer Festival IV. Day 2. Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry. Fresh mild minerally carbonation. Milky malt as expected with just a touch of roast. Smooth finish.

Tap @ Borefts 2012. The pour’s deep brown with a small tan head. The nose is light soft lactose, some chocolate, hints of lightly roasted coffee. The taste is sweet hazlenut, lactose, roasted grain. Dry finish. Watery mouthfeel, smooth. Not bad.

Tasted at the 4th BBF @ De Molen. Brown pour. Aroma of Bastogne cookies, chocolate and cream. Flavor is very smooth, round, delicate. Great balance. Very nice brew with a full body for the low ABV.
