Bottle. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are smoke, tar, caramel, roast malt and hops.

On tap at Borefts BF 2012, Bodegraven. Pours clear, ruby-brown with a tight cream head. Rich, meaty smoke in the aroma, a bit of candied ham. Medium sweet flavor with restrained smokiness, black pepper, honey-cured ham, very light carmael. Medium bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with light, leafy hops, sturdy smokey ham. Great smoke beer.

Bottle thx to benzai. Hazy ruby with floaties, medium to full off-white to beige head. Smells plastic somehow. Tastes bacon, bacon and bacon. Also some smoked eel. Medium body, soft carbo. Bacon’s good for me.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus. Hazy red color with yeast residu in it. Medium to full sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, smoke, some bitterness, bacon. Medium body and carbonation.

@BBF12. Pours copper with a beige head. Aroma caramel, smoke and light pepper. Flavour is caramel, smoke, bread and light pepper notes.

Pours a dark copper colour with a slightly off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, grains and chocolate. Flavour of roasted malts, mild smoke, grains and sweet caramel. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a dry, malty, mild smoky finish. Good.

From tap @Borefts 2012. Hazy orangey amber. Medium blond head. Rounded meaty smoke aroma. Faint caramel and sweet grainy malts. Taste is burnt dark caramel. Fairly sweet, fine roast tones. Mild smoke. Slick. Medium full. Balanced and tasty.

33cl bottle,, BB 09/2013. Acajou, cuivrée, col beige moyen. Arôme léger fumé, caramel, grains et ce bouquet fumé restant très subtile et suivi par un côté fruité bock. Palais est agréablement fumé, léger malté/caramel, grillé le tout suivi d’une note de houblon pour une fine amertume juste en fin de bouche qui pour moi dérange un peu le profil fumé. Le tout conserve un côté grains type d’une bock, fruité sec/terreux, pointe de fruits tirs, malt fumé avec une pointe de douceur sucrée sur la fin. Caramel au fini avec ce profil citronné /houblonné restant présent. Pas mauvaise, juste un cran en dessous des versions allemandes.

Bottle, from trade with Bierkonig. Pours a deep bronze-mahogany clear brown body with a large light beige creamy head. Nose is deep caramelly malt tones, smoke, grains, milk chocolate and hints of leather and bread dough. Taste is smokey caramel malt notes, burnt sugar, grains, hints of wood and dark chocolate. Smooth palate, medium to mild carbonation. A very pleasant smoked bock from Mommeriete; complex enough to be interesting but simple enough to be highly drinkable at the same time.
