Mommeriete Vrouwe van Gramsbergh

Dark brown with a large off white head. Sweet aroma of alcohol soaked raisins. Taste is the same, with leather, nuts, dates and some late dryness. Has many of the right features but somehow in the wrong order.

Bottle the to Ober ! Tasted 24.07.09, with William, Bianca and Thierry. Dark amber to reddisch brown color with a off-white head. Aroma bit roasted malts, caramel, raisin, sweet, alcohol. Medium body. Taste sweet, roasted malts, dark fruits, and light bitter.

Bottle at T’ Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 08-06-09 Pours rich reddy brown with light beige head. Aroma is dark sticky fruits and molasses, its also quite malty, getting dates and raisins. Taste is initially sweet dates, figs and raisins dominate along with a goodly spoonful of damp cane sugar. Soft in the mouth. The alcohol is well hidden, its tasty but the lingering sweetness just knocks it down peg or two, some burnt cinder toffee to finish things off. A8 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.7

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Fruity dark fruit aroma with some buttery hints. Fruity slightly tart malty caramel flavor with hints of dark fruit. Has a slightly tart buttery caramel finish with hints of dark fruit in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Brown and purple with a small head. Aromas are raisins and chocolate with bready yeast and peppery alcohol. Flavours are sweet chocolate with berries and raisins. Vinous and spicy with warming alcohol. Nice.

Bottle. Brownish beer with a roasted and malty aroma. The flavour is rich, malty and roasted. Overall a nice rich beer.

Bottle thx to jbrus. Deep mahogany color. Sweet and slightly metallic due to possible oxidation. However, the brew is very smooth and nice with notes of apples and toffee/caramel.

Bright reddish-brown. Rich, with toasted caramel. Relatively clean, with toasty accents and a slight fruitiness. Doesn’t seem as big as it actually is.
