zebracakes (959), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 2, 2008 Bottle, 300ml. Pours delicately pale gold, no cloudiness (not that there would be any, what do I know). Aroma is ricey and lightly fruity and floral. I can definitely smell alcohol as well. Flavor is the same. Nothing is offensive or biting, but I can definitely taste the alcohol. Er, I’ll try this from my masu (I have no idea what I’m doing).
Walt (2257), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 14, 2008 Pour is faintly clear yellow...smell is strong with alcohol and some foul and off putting...I wish I could put my finger on it...some sort of rotting bread perhaps...taste is similar....very sweet and perfumey up front with a big bang of alcohol coming in...hot....the taste of stale wet bread comes in equally strongly... puzzl (1651), New York, New York, USA Sep 30, 2007 Served from a really nice black bottle with a little red devil kinda guy on there. 300ml. Pour is typical, completely clear. When I first poured this from the fridge aroma was really lacking, kind of smelling, well, ass-y, and not much else. As it warmed to room temperature it really opened up, and I think that "summer rain" comment from the description is dead on. Good koji and like chocolate scents. Lots of koji in the taste, viscous pine resin palate. Lightly fruity, again, the melon description this time is dead on. Very tasty. Drink this one room temperature! nick76 (1970), Tampa, Florida, USA Aug 18, 2007 The aroma is very plain and strait forward sake with just rice and alcohol. The appearance is clear. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall it’s a very good sake when you want just strait up sake. A Masu cup adds character to this one. Palidor19 (1207), Brandon, Florida, USA Aug 18, 2007 my 800th ratings!! Plus this my first sake rating drinking from an authentic masu cup, which gives it a special wood presence. The sake its self is light and ricey with a smooth texture. I really enjoy this, I cant wait to try more
