IslandHaole (1026), Onna-Son, Okinawa-Ken, Japan Dec 31, 2005 Clear with just a touch of a greenish tint. Mild sweet grainy scent with a hint of koji. Sweet and a fuller bodied sake. Has the flavor of chewing on a cherry pit, a bit of black licorice and some earthy notes. Smooth in the mouth, it fires up on the way down, leaving a burn in the belly. This sake is named after the largest lighted float festival in Japan, the famous Nebuta festival of Aomori City.
