This copper-colored creation features the textures of layered crystal malts and moderate hop bitterness. The aroma of the Box Car Amber is similar to that of an American Pale Ale, with light floral and citrus notes. A cousin to our Inaugural Amber, the Box Car is a shade lower in alcohol and has a deeper color.

I’d call it an IPA rather than an amber, but that’s a good thing because I’m usually bored by ambers. Good mouth feel. Dry, hoppy flavor. Very nice.

Draft - Caramel and orange citrus hops. Clear copper with a decent white head. Caramel and toasted grains with a very light orange hop bite. Finishes a bit bitter but nice.

Pours a clear golden orange on tap with thick cap of off-white head that leaves nice lace. Aroma is faint, caramel and toasted grain. Taste packs a bit more, but still the same, floral hop finish. Nothing special, but not bad.

Mostly clear, woody maple color, this ivory head.  Lightly candied apa aroma. Sturdy mouthfeel, amply hopped, slightly sour, woody.  Long bitter finish with sour fruit notes -- grapefruit rind.  Ok, drinkable, but I wouldn’t crave it.

5/19/12. On tap at Momo’s. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Light malt aroma with touches of citrus hops. Lightly malty and slightly tart flavor. Interesting.

Tallahassee, FL - on tap at the brewpub. Medium copper, sparkling pour with a slight off-white head, wisps of lacing. Pretty much of a neutral aroma, some nuttiness if I had to pin it down. Flavor is tangy with some brief citrus notes, a bit of nectarine fruitiness, some nutty notes in the back end. Mouthfeel has a nice spritz to it. Decent.
