COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Full of hop bitterness, flavor and aroma, this American-styled Double IPA packs a punch.

American style hops provide plenty of bright, citrus-type flavors like orange and pineapple, and of course plenty of pop.

Total hop bomb, but that’s what it’s supposed to be. Clean very hoppy start and finish.

Draft - Fruity, citrus hops. Clear gold with a rich head. Citrus orange and tropical fruit and balanced caramel. Finish has a bit of booze and resin withe the fruit.

Pretty tasty DIPA, but it seems a little one dimensional. Appropriate bitterness and some citrus flavors, but you’re left feeling that this one is nothing special.

Pours a clear golden orange on tap with fluffy off-white head that leaves great lacing. Aroma of strong fresh citrus hops, hint of grapefruit. Taste follows, with a bitter hop bite on the end. Solid, probably the best I have had from here.

Clear straw gold with white head and good lacing. Aroma of malt and bitter hops. Herbal. Dry bitter finish. West coast style with toasted malt and very dry.

Good flavor, holly pallet, smooth, and best at the source. Momos, in Tallahassee.

Mostly clear, honey gold with a filmy head. Assertive west coast hops in the flavor and aroma. Piney, pineapple, tangy, not overly sweet. Well carbonated, citrus peel and wood in the edgy finish. Very well-balanced for the style. Very good. Consumed as FSU laid the wood to the Virginia basketball team.

On tap at market square. Yellow gold pour with large white head and lots of visible carbonation. Aroma is floral and citrus hops. Tastes are caramel malts, pine, floral bitter, spearmint vibe, and grapefruit. Nice big hop, chewing on flowers type dipa.

UPDATED: MAY 7, 2012 1/23/12. On tap at the brewpub. Clear dark golden pour with a small khaki head that fades and leaves thin rings of soapy lacing. Nice, though somewhat light, aroma with sweet citrus hop notes and a bit of caramel. Sweet caramel entry that then shows light citrus and pine with a small bitter hop punch. Clean and tasty, but I wish the hop characteristics were more powerful and complex. The 8.5% is hidden well. Pretty tasty.

They have since made this again, and it is much better. Packs a bigger hop punch and is actually quite tasty! Knocking my rating up a bit!

Tallahassee, FL - on tap at the brewpub. Pour is medium copper colored with a sturdy white pillowy head that sticks around for a bit. Aroma is fresh and fragrant with some flowers, spearmint hints, and pine resin. Flavor is juicy with a front forward assault of grapefruty bitterness, sweet. sticky maple syrup notes, a touch of pomegranates, and just a bit of mint in the back end. Ambrosia fruit salad comes to mind. Thick sticky mouthfeel. Does not leave you puckered out like some hop-bombs do. Most boundary stretching of Momo’s so far.
