One of my favorite Momos beers. Slightly malty. Moderate roast. Not much hop character.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hazy amber brown with cream colored head. Aroma is of toffee, and medium nuttiness. Taste a touch bitter, some caramel and the same good nuttiness as the aroma. A bit overcarbonated for a brown in my opinion, and a tad thin as well.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a hazy reddish brown with little head. Smells caramely sweet. Has hints of roasty nuts & chocolate. The taste is overly gross sweet, not super enjoyable, but it gives me something to do while I wait for pizza.

2/6/12. On tap at the brew pub as always! Muddled, hazy brown pour with a small, but nice khaki head that sticks and laces a little. Under the light the brew shows a lighter amber side with touches of orange. Pleasantly sweet, nutty aroma with touches of chocolate, a hint of sourness (not in a bad way), and fresh barley husks. More powerful flavor that again shows sweet nuttiness, dry barley, a touch of roast and chocolate. Lingering grainy dryness. Again, as always for Momo’s, the brew is on par with the style, laid back, drinkable, and tasty, but nothing bold.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Foggy, darkish brown brew with a small, carpeting head which collapses to a film. Muted, tangy roast aroma which becomes slightly floral as it warms. A truly nutty sweetness - light, dry, roasted, with butter toffee. Medium body, tangy, toasty finish. Well done. This would be a good pitcher session. Traces of cherry at times. If Momo’s beers have a hallmark, it’s that they are right in the center of the strike zone for the style. Consumed during the FSU/VA basketball game.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: FEB 18, 2012 Rerate More pronounced caramel flavor this time around, solid session material. Original 3 Tallahassee, Fl - on tap at Momo’s. Medium amber colored pour, little to no head. Faint nutty aroma, hint of chocolate. Flavor has some nutty accents, a bit of licorice-like sweetness and some vanilla in the back end. Medium thick mouthfeel. Decent.
