Bottled. Clear, dark brown, with a small beige head. Roasted, almost burnt aroma with some smokey sourness. Mild flavor with roasted malt, coffee and some smokey sourness. Medium body. A bit boring, but good. (060704)

Black with tiny brown head. Sweet roasted malt aroma with smoky touch. Flavor has sweet roasted malt, chocolate and finieshes dry and bitter.

Bottle. Pours a pitch black colour with a big rather short lasting light brown head. Aroma of smoke, roasted malt and caramel. The flavour has a nice roasted maltiness with smoke, roasted caramel, liquorice and some chocolate. Dry and bitter-sweetish roasty finish. Bit thin but tasty.

Dark hazy nut brown color, small firm off-white head. Grainy, papery aroma. Bitter, almost harsh flavor. Strange schwarzbier which is more like a bitter with tar. Long bitter aftertaste.

Bottle. Red mahogany in colour (a bit too red for a schwarz). Okay white head that sticks to the glass. Sweet aroma with clear roasted tones - some vanilla. Quite full mouthfeel. Quite spicy flavours with vanilla and pepper mixing well with the roasted foundation. Perhaps a bit too overwhelming.

Very dark brown with a small off-white head. Malty aroma with some licorice and a roasted touch. Sweetish dark malty flavour with some licorice and a hint of yeast

Black/brown with a nice head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt and so does the flavour, where it comes out as notes of coffee, licorice and a light sweetness. There is a dry bitterness and the mouthfeel is medium. It’s a nice schwartzbier, that is a bit fuller than most German ones. 1590
