A yellow colored pour with no head really. Strong, strong banana aroma with a very sweet banana finish. Wow!!

Smells like mashed bananas, no doubt about the correct name of this beer. If you like babana - youíll like this. If you like beer though, -then you donít want another one of this one. I do hope for the best of Ghana, that you can get used to it somehow. (Porterhouse, Dublin March 2007)

I only bought this because it mentioned Fairtrade, what an awful awful excuse of a beer this is, avoid at all costs

Pale gold, faintly misty pour. Sticky banana cake snout. A far too heavy hand with the sugar spoon, Iím afraid. Sugar, sugar, sugar and....hold on a minute...whatís that distinctly fruity note lurking in the background?......oh yeah, banana. LOTS of banana. But even more sugar. At least itís not aspartame, I suppose. Amazed to find itís Belgian, because itís about as subtle as a 40ft artic (full of bananas) thundering towards your skull. The sweetest beer I hope I ever sample, and very nearly a drainpour. The things we subject ourselves to in the name of research......

Bottle. Pale golden body. Nice head which didnít last long. Strong aroma of banana or banana liqueur. Nothing else. How do you rate something like this? I like banana, but ... No, this didnít work for me. The flavour is a mix of banana and pale lager. That is not good! Nice try though, it is exciting and all, but you donít always succeed. (Porterhouse Dublin, 16.03.07)

Golden of color with a white head. An aroma of bananas. The flavor is sweet banana, some hops and malt in the finish.

(Bottled, 4.5% ABV) Very hazy yellow color with a small, bubbly head. Cloyingly sweet aroma of bananas. Very, very sweet and sugary flavor of banana and pear esters with no finish to speak of. The aftertaste is sugar and corn. Medium-bodied, thick and sugary palate with low carbonation. This is more like a very sugary yoghurt than a beer.

Bottled. Something weird in the flass, looks like foam or fungus or something.. njaeh probably my own biases. This beer is appareantly made from only natural ingredients, still there is somthing horrible about the smell. First, nice banana. Later, you kind of get the nose going and there it is. Horrible Nordic piss-lager!! Very sweet, itís ok if you eat it with a spoon or normally mix grenadine with sugar for breakfast.

Pale a bit hazy yellow color, small white head. Strong sweet aroma of overriped bananas and candy. Sticky sweet banana flavor, slightly artifical. Drier malty notes in the finish. Way too sweet, very girlie "beer". So fair so good says slogan ... only half is correct ...

Bottled. A sludgy dark yellow coloured beer with a thin ring of off white bubbles. The aroma is sweet and like cany bananas. The taste is very sweet and very bananay (I know I made that word up, but itís cool). It is sticky in the mouth, over sweet and a bit sickly. At least itís fair trade.
