Bottle at Bruce tasting. Cloudy pale cream with white head. Aroma of coconut, dove soap bars. Taste of coconut but like coconut scented soap. A bizarre beer (not really fair to call it a beer). Canít decide if I hate this or not.

Bottle at Bruceís - London. Thanks to Colin. A gusher! Pours hazy, pale white with a mild, filmy head. Smells like some kind of fruit juice, a bit of coconut. Medium sweet flavor, some oily coconut, a bit of lime, pineapple. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Tastes pretty much like a piŮa colada. Subtly artificial but not bad overall.

Bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow that made me think of a watery wheat beer. Minimal head with fizzy white foam. The aroma is - surprise - coconut, albeit with a nasty touch of cardboard. Starts very sweet and isnít bitter at all. It has a fruity body that comes close to white grape juice. The palate is pleasant: note watery and a lively carbonation. Very different and very refreshing but I wouldnít make it my standard drink.

Bottle sample. Turbid yellow with minimal head. Powerful coconut aroma, with sugar powder, flowers and honey. Sweet, somewhat artificial coconut flavor, zero bitterness and faint light malt. Light, juice-like, hard to drink and gimmicky.

Appearance is cloudy yellow, with a thin white head. Aroma is really coconutty, a tiny hint of yeast. Taste is very sweet, a bit of citrus and pineapple/mango. The whole drink is more like a pina colada than a beer - but it is really tasty and smells great so I have to give it high marks. On the palate it is creamy with a light fizz. This drink has me stumpted - I donít normally like a really sweet alcoholic drink but this tastes more like fruit juice and is delicious and smells great. I want to hate it but itís really, really good. The only marks it loses are for not being a real beer. It also gets a bit sickly towards the end...

330ml bottle bought at Belgian Beer Intl in Tsuen Wan. Cloudy hazy beige white colour which resembles a cross between coconut juice and dirty water; Very thin head and white foam which last about 30 seconds; Small and sticky lacing with notable carbonation; Potent aroma of coconut milk, coconut meat, coconut juice, candy sugar, hint of pineapple, and very light wet cardboard; Medium sweet taste of apple juice, coconut juice, coconut candy, very light malt, very faint wet cardboard (not offensive), and slight hint of grass; Mid to light body, slick palate; Taste profile is overwhelmingly coconut - candy, meat, and juice - in a light apple juice background. Coconut sweetness is not cloying at all, but increasingly heavy with more sips, and it is actually less sweet than the Banana Beer of the same brand. Malt (or was it quinoa?) is detectable, albeit a light one. All ends with a slight tart finish; Hoppiness is near zero but detectable in the palate, does not contribute much for any finish; Slightly dry after taste, extremely easy to mouth.

Comments: much like Mongozoís Banana, I taste this one with an open mind. Although its smell is all coconut, its taste does retain some recognizable fruit limbic character, and were itís not the presence of wet cardboard, its taste will be even more enjoyable. If you are looking for fruit beer with strong malt and hop characters, then this one will certainly disappoint. As a light-hearted refreshment, however, I donít mind another second helping, as long as I have a little more room for my stomach.

Milky, cloudy, pineapple juice like pour. And there it goes down the drain. It tastes like a bad, pre-made cocktail. Awful awful stuff.

Pours yellow hazy straw with thin long lasting white head. Aroma is overwhelmingly coconut. Not subtle. Taste is coconut and extremely sweet yet thin body. Not that pleasant.
